Oh I am sorry, do you think I am vilifying you for your standards or your comment???

I was simply pointing out, that YES your attire does denote respect to a degree. Simply saying it does not appears to be wrong and this comment would suggest you now agree.

There are many reasons, first perhaps a bank robber on the run, maybe a murder, child molester rapist. There are lots of reasons. BUT this is not a bash on the Islamic head wear, it is about what shows respect.

Whats your point...inundation of feminism does not create equality....
I suppose you support women fighting each other in cages also do you...belting the crap out of one another...now being shown regularly on television....more blood...more blood.....we havent
progressed far from throwing the slaves to the lions have we....(in that regard)

I live on the Gold Coast, so I know that womens attire is quite often "brief"...I have no problem with that...but when I go into a McDonalds in the main street of town and see a woman in a backless, tiny bikini
buying her big mac with her arse hanging out everywhere, and I hear other people whispering that she should cover up in public....this suggests that how women dress in public sets the standard of human decency...after all strippers are just women who are glorified prostitutes or plain and simple exhibitionists....
..and Im sure we all respect strippers......pft....

What shows respect is entirely subjective. I consider it disrespectful when folks pre-judge me based on my outward appearance. It would seem you consider it disrespectful when folks don't adhere to a certain outward appearance. Is there room for us both to be right?

5'9", 170lbs, 33" waste, usually wearing boots, cargo pants and T-shirt.

Now tell me how you plan to figure out if I'm lying, and what the point of that was...

What was the point of this comment? Or was it pointless?

Sort of, what type of respect is subjective. You were the person who previously decided attire had nothing to do with respect. I point out, your comparison is not subjective and in fact irrelevant.

Now you’re talking about appearance. You could be pre-judged on your appearance, your sex, your age, your nationality, your demeanour and simply the clothes you choose to wear. I stand to suggest stereotyping people based on those things which they cannot change is wrong. BUT the Attire YOU decide to wear, the jewellery YOU decide to adorn and the actions YOU choose to take show exactly the respect you have for yourself and others based entirely on where and when you decide go.

So, yes it is disrespectful when folks don’t adhere to certain outward appearances as required by expected norms. Just as it is wrong to disrespect others simply because you don’t agree with them. Can we both be right??? For example, what shows anybody respect is meeting a formally accepted standard when meeting them. What shows greater respect is going above and beyond that formally accepted standard.

I am sure you, personally expect people to hear and respond to you, that is respect to your existence. But you don’t expect them to believe what you’re saying??? The depth of respect is subjective. SO on the comment you just made YES there is room for both to be right, but the limited focus on attire, no.

Does that also apply to the womens shed? Or is sexism a one way street.

    What about female only gym?

No womens sheds. That why we whinge. They get pots of government money and the guilds ( men and women members) have to raise their own funds. There is the CWA but men can belong to it.
I believe there are men only gyms too.

Let me get this straight...in the US they have allowed girls into the boy scouts, but in Australia, the boy scouts have been abandoned, and in their place, they have scouts australia, for boys and girls....
And you wonder why I bloody well get pissed off about the empowering of women...christ is nothing sacred
anymore...you wonder why some men disrespect some women.....etc...etc...men are being treated like they dont matter any more...equality doesnt exist......its garbage....Im staggered when I go into a retail shop to buy something and Im served by a man, equally staggered when I ring a bank, or ring anyone and speak to a man....men dont matter any more....we are just regarded as crap....
Anything where young boys or men can gather together is being totally wiped out...
Not long ago they allowed girls to play in boys soccer...and the boys wiped the floor with them..but
it still goes on...and the stupid parents support it.....

The mens sheds were created by men to combat old age, depression and to go and spend time with your mates....and to get away from freakin women.....who cause the depression in the first place.....

Gyms perhaps are not a good example as there is a lot of undressing and showering..I would prefer men and women to have different gyms for that simple reason....

Why do you think my woodturning group is anything to do with children?
