    I didn't say democrats don't play identity politics. It's just that the party of trumpe is far more deeply based on identity politics.

    So that's the thing, you just get told that dems play 'identity politics.' Now either because the right plays white straight christian identity politics, you can't see that it's identity politics, or you just take talking heads word as gospel and don't really ever think about it.
