He will be lucky if he is not indicted before this is over.

He is now testing the proposition that no man is above the law. He likely believes he can get away with anything; that he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and get away with it.

He told us what he believes a long time ago.

Yeah...so what? Trump's businesses are global. He has a first-hand understanding of global economics....That's part of why I voted for him.

Ironic given that desperation is the abject denial of the crimes committed by your beloved BLOTUS!

Interesting concept and if it comes to pass that still leaves the onset of Alzheimers that will render your BLOTUS unfit to serve.

The impeachment of Clinton did not care about any statute of limitations when it came to dredging up charges.

Furthermore your beloved BLOTUS is currently in violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution.

On top of that he has betrayed this nation's secrets to a foreign power.

Those are facts that are irrefutable.

    Great link, thanks!

That the BLOTUS is asking whether he can pardon himself just demonstrates the extent of his sociopathic criminality. He believes that he is above the law. I don't see how the SCOTUS could ever uphold any such pardon as being legitimate since it would make a mockery of the rule of law.

SC Mueller has every right to expand his probe to include EVERYTHING to do with the Russians since it goes to MOTIVE for the election hacking. The tax returns for the BLOTUS will result in questions being asked as to the source of funds and if any are found to be tied to money laundering that is going to mean that the IRS will become involved.

At this stage the Law of Unintended Consequences is coming into play and it will be interesting to see how far it goes.

Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and even himself in connection with the probe, according to one of those people. A second person said Trump’s lawyers have been discussing the president’s pardoning powers among themselves.

    Can a President pardon HIMSELF?

Is there any bigger admission of guilt?

I suspect that the BLOTUS has now had more meetings with lawyers than he has had with his own cabinet, the WH press corp and Congress combined and all in the space of just 6 months in office.

That has got to be a record for the worst presidency of all time.

As far as pardons it would be up to Pence to pardon the BLOTUS and if he did then he would seriously impact his own chances of winning another term. Once the evidence of the indictments against the BLOTUS become public it would be political suicide to try and brush them under the carpet IMO.

LMAO...Well, trump's mentor is Roy Cohn, the mob lawyer that cut his teeth as McCarthy's henchman back in the day.

I fail to see the irony. You're openly advocating extrajudicial prosecution. Using congress to circumvent an indivuals prescribed legal rights, and strip him of his civil rights protections is unthinkable. It's also pure fantasy. Dems won't be allowed to remove a sitting president through any means that subvert our constitution. Let that sink in a while.

It is the GOP who will invoke Impeachment or the 25th Amendment since only they hold that power.

Your beloved BLOTUS is nothing more than an indictment waiting to happen now.

Why else would he be asking his lawyers if he can illegally pardon himself?

Isn't that a tacit admission of guilt on his part?

Let that sink in a while.

Trump is freaking out at the prospect that Mueller will see (or already is looking at) his taxes.

The BLOTUS knows that he could not withstand an indepth probe into his financial dealings with the Russians without some connections to their money laundering schemes. He was already nailed on the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in 2013 so there is already evidence of wrongdoing on his part.

I think such an inquiry, suspiciously made public, is a message. Mueller could find he's been rendered obsolete should all his "suspects" be pardoned. Mueller was granted, emphasis on granted, a lot of autonomy in advancement of achieving a specific goal. Determine whether Trumps campaign staff coordinated with Russia to influence the election. Financial transactions which occurred years before Trumps candidacy, can't provide those answers. The fact that Trump didn't immediately pardon Flynn, and Trump telling Comey he wanted a thorough investigation of his "satellites" to be undertaken, indicates Trump expects vindication
