Have you noticed lately, and especially over the last few days, how Trump (and his cronies) have been serially regurgitating the term "Mob Rule" with the repetitiveness of a parrot with Tourette's?

Apparently, referring to the opinions of anyone disagreeing with them as "Mob Rule" has become the latest marching order (and talking point) among Trump (and his RW Fever Swamp).

What is your opinion of the way that Trump (and his cronies) have co-opted the term "Mob Rule"?

Personally, I think the seed was planted by Trump's main speech writer (Stephen Miller--a Psychotic Propagandist who makes Joseph Goebbels seem like a neutral observer).

At this point, neither Trump nor his sycophantic cronies can get through 5 minutes without uttering the term "Mob Rule".

We've already seen it (multiple times):at this forum, where "Mob Rule" seems to be the new RW catch phrase.

I am sure that we can expect to see the term "Mob Rule" thousands of times this election season.

    Thoughts?

I don't know about all the conspiracy theory stuff, but it seems to be a meme that's taken off lately, and it's complete nonsense.

    Civil war?

    Antifa attacks?

The "left" waiting to rise and crush our sham democratic system?

    All complete and utter nonsense.

Thoughts? Yea, become productive members of society and quit defending ANTIFA, left wing radical mobs and inciting violence on American citizens.

Did you see the crazies clawing at the door of the scotus hearing like a scene out of the walking dead? Did you see them yelling swears and "shame" like that game of thrones scene? Did you see them blasting kanye because he leans republican? They do act like a "mob" in many instances. Harassing ted cruise, death threats to Susan collins..i could do this all day

I havn't heard 'Mob Rule' used lately by anyone but me... but its apt. Every time the Constitution is used to thwart the left's antics, they complain about it being an antiquated, meaningless document circumventing the Will of The People.

...without the Constitution, we have mob rule. It kinda sounds like that's what they want, which kinda makes it a point worthy of focus, and if Trump&Co are 'regurgitating' about it, I say GOOD, they should be.

Watch the infinite liars who give us "white supremacy, fascists, Nazis, racists, toxic masculinity, white privilege, old white males" DAILY, F-ING DAILY, in their MAINSTREAM garbage celebrity-culture sewer pipes, where none exists, howl and squirm in protest when their political opposition learns to use similarly hyperbolic terms (far tamer terms at that). Live by the sword, die by it. Don't like that, stop creating the divisions with outlandish lie narratives and rotten identity politics. Whoever is using "mob rule" now didn't start the **** snowball rolling, didn't "do that," they just learned to over time from the LW crime family.

It's like one neighbor with a 110 decibel industrial cement mixer in his backyard complaining about the other neighbor's Chihuahua barking in response to the noise.

There is a difference though, the former types of excess and lie-labels are excesses of belief, something that is nuanced and rarely fully known. The gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex put a former KKK member of a Justice who rationalized interment of U.S. citizens on a postage stamp because he redeemed himself via Complex and graft-empowering and enriching decisions. They are not only liars but utterly inconsistent from one moment to the next so long as the graft $$ are flowing their way. So much for their appeals to excesses or wrong beliefs.

Back to the difference, "mob rule" is a visible action, not a mere belief or attitude, and whether or not it exists is a matter of opinion. Is it a lynch mob that succeeds in murder? Is that mob rule? Definitely. Is it paid protestors blocking traffic in streets, complicit with local authorities due to political alignment? Yes, I think so. Is it shouting down, pulling fire alarms on college campuses, again with the wink wink nudge nudge support of local powers that be? I say it is, but getting into grayer areas admittedly.

Is it tossing away foundations of our country's excellence such as "innocent until proven guilty" by a truly startling and mainstream portion of the population? I think that qualifies as mob rule. I don't think such "citizens" deserve to vote in a Constitutional Republic, and that our voting franchise is far too democratic. We've known for 2000 years what democratic excess devolves into... something called "mob rule." Those who think otherwise are welcome to their opinion, but don't let them be seen using some of the pet lie-labels listed above or they are vile hypocrites and liars.

So tell me, what's inaccurate about calling these things "mob rule" to the same extent the lying Left tars its opposition with all manner of inaccurate, identity based labeling? Would they prefer "public union thugs?" "thieves?" plain old "crooks?" "violent psychotics?" what?

Shades of 1937 Germany all over again... The old newsreels from that era show behavior that is strikingly similar to what the Left is currently up to. The Germans also hit a point where they were not even subtle about it anymore.

I think we do need a wall...between Trump's foot soldiers and the rest of us. Easily manipulated folks latch on to catch phrases ad nauseam so no surprise when Trump digs one up and throws it out there to see what sticks.

It's all about the politics of fear. The GOP likes to stoke fear, fear of Muslims, fear of immigrants (legal or illegal), fear of minorities (transgenders in bathrooms and scary black men) because fear makes electorates turn away from progressive liberal candidates and towards reactionary conservative candidates.

Fear of mob rule by Antifa is just the latest in a very long line.

For a group of gun-totin' patriots they certainly seem to be scared of a lot of things - especially the future ;)

ANTIFA is a non-issue except for conservatives who want to pretend it is an issue.

Nobody on this forum defends ANTIFA or radical mobs. Get a clue. And LOL at your snide "productive members of society." Perhaps you should tell that to Trump's supporters who are sucking on the government's teats.

I was a bit worried a year or so ago - mainly in terms of the actual, sane left being lumped in with them - but they really are just a small, pathetic group of petty pajama fascists.

    Sort of like neo-Nazis.

    But less sympathetic.

I think you confuse mob rule with idiocy.

The Dems don't want anything to change, and ESPECIALLY not by way of giving the People (mobbed or not) any power.

It's really odd that the populaces of western countries are being divided down the middle. The US because of president Trump, the UK because of Brexit, and various European countries because of the preference for political populism and the simultaneous rejection of elitism.
