The Bible indicates that God values our faith in Him. If we knew everything, there would be no faith.

Roughly, yes I agree. If It was clear that God was commanding His followers to kill gays, I would oppose God and His followers.
I DO oppose those followers that believe they are commanded to kill gays, and follow along.

Absolutely not. The Bible is an attempt to put spiritual (subjective) dynamics of the universe into physical (objective) human comprehension. Not only are certain things misinterpreted by cultural and lingual shifts over time, but if there is a 'spirit world' (I prefer to think of it as another dimension) certain concepts and dynamics might not translate well.
If God is all powerful and just, then the important information that we need IS in the Bible despite these difficulties of translation. But there isn't any obligation that I can reason that it should be readily apparent without having to do some work- research, discuss, consider.

...which is why Im generally opposed to the 'establishment' of religion that promotes the acceptance of official doctrine over personal interpretation and consideration.

It is not a 'no,' its an 'i need clarification to answer the question' as well as a 'your question is based on a premise that I disagree with.'
Christians (in general) no more believe that gays should be put to death than women who go out in public while menstruating should be killed (another of Leviticus's many odditties).

Additionally, what do you mean by 'discriminate'? The 'orthodoxy' of christianity (for all of its admitted fallacies) holds that we are all sinners, and anyone and everyone who repents, asks for (and accepts) forgiveness of sins may enter heaven. Gamblers, adulterers, murderers AND gays among them. If anyone is 'discriminating' against gays, it is some of the followers of christianity, not God.

As an aside, most christians will agree that gay sex (and premarital sex) are sins, while the only commandment that adresses the issue of sex just says 'adultery' is a sin. While gay/extramarital/frivolous sex is most definitely frowned upon in the Bible, there isn't any clear definition of 'sexual immorality' as an actual sin outside of the adulterous betrayal of marriage vows.
