The only Normal of today are of the family person. A man or woman with a spouse or and with children are the only ones who live normal lives today. Every one else is out for their own self pleasures of unrighteousness.
We the People formed a SECULAR government OF the People and FOR the People which gets to decide for themselves what constitutes normality. When this nation was founded slavery was "normal" and endorsed by "righteous" theists. Those same "righteous" theists considered interracial marriage to be "unrighteous". They also considered women voting, the consumption of alcohol and gay marriage to be "unrighteous". These "righteous" theists have been proven WRONG on all of those issues. What reason is there to believe that they are any authority on what constitutes "righteousness"?
I didn't say 'righteous'... I said 'normal'. Normal is eating dinner with family. Normal is having children do chores. Normal is not having affairs on your spouse. Normal is keeping the family unit tight. Normal is keeping the home yard and house neat and clean. Normal is wanting to keep the family neighborhood safe for all. Such things are normal... Maybe not righteous, but definitely normal. Normal is washing the car, mowing the lawn, making sure the garage door is in good working condition.. Single persons do not so much to try to keep to the above mentioned 'normal' things. Normal is going to sleep on time, you, your wife/husband, children, pets, so that all may wake up bright and early, refreshed and ready, to have some breakfast and go to work and school for another work day/school day. Normal is not wanting your children in detention. Normal is not wanting your children making a 'bad' name for your last name and family. Normal is not wanting the family in the spotlight. Normal is not wanting to be asked to come to the Principal's office for a 'meeting' about the child. Normal is not wanting your children bringing other children over to have orgies in a room in your home. These things are normal and mostly only done by persons who are with spouses or and children. You can call it 'RESPONSIBILITIES' to and for self and others AND trying to maintain a low profile, and maintain a well 'not disruptive' reputation. Keeping a quiet and peaceable life, just as The Holy Bible mentions. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 "And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing." 1 Timothy 2:2 "For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." All of what you stated above to be normal can be found in gay families all across this nation. So thanks for admitting that gays are just as normal as everyone else.
And what if you can't attract a mate I'm average looking, disabled, never made enough money to really support myself so why would I want a wife and children if I can't bring anything to the table to support them? I cared about more than myself and decided a family wasn't for me although I wanted one.
i can see, a little, of what you are saying. And I would have to agree that there could be many 'normal' persons outside of the marriage/children/responsibilities roles. So maybe the better way to state 'normal' would be to define it more in the lines of 'being responsible' instead of familial living. So I apologize for not giving a more generalized meaning of what I meant.
With the population near to out consuming resources by population growth, the opposite of what you say may hold more truth. Normal to me is all people following their bliss to reproduce or not, as they so choose. The only real duty for mankind is to replenish his numbers for sustainability and we are collectively surpassing that duty to the point of overpopulation. Regards DL
