Is it just me or is the left all negativity?

The concept of MAGA is racist, homophobic and sexist

    This country was never great

Wealth is evil, govt should confiscate it.

People are incapable of taking care of themselves, govt needs to do it

White people are racist as a whole

Minorities are incapable of fending for themselves
govt had to do it for them

    Men are sexist

    Trump is a Nazi

Party line votes to acquit are immoral (but party line votes to impeach are not)

The time tested and approved EC is unfair

Trump supporters are racist, sexist, greedy, and hate All non whites

The environment is going to collapse and kill us all

    Capitalism is evil

    Borders are unfair

People who cherish the 2nd A endorse mass shooting

The right cheats to win elections

    etc etc etc...

Even their 2020 election is mainly based on “Trump is bad, he’s gotta go!”, not a message of what they can do that’s positive.

They do not promotes hope at all.. its all despair for them. They are simply incapable is acknowledging the numerous positive aspects of this country. We saw them sitting in their hands during the SOTU, not even celebrating the positive aspects of this country. A true party of despair and hopelessness.

And it’s why they will lose in November.

And then proceed to blame everybody from the F.B.I. To Burger King somehow.

Exactly so. As long as they're selling doom and gloom they will lose.

I'll give you an"A" for humor anyway. Pretty good list full of exaggerations and hyperbole. I don't really know how Trump supporters think. I don't think they are stupid drones. A lot of them are my family, friends, neighbors, and small town business people. Pretty much the same as Democrats. I have to confess that even I was sitting on my hands for the STOU. If you want to hear some shocking negativity, I dare you, read Trump's inaugural address. When I heard it, I thought I might need CPR to get me breathing again.

A message I offer to all Trump loyalists is drop the anger (most Dems have heard the message loud and clear), get a copy of that Trump inaugural address and brace yourselves. Then, take a look at the candidates and challenge each to identify who truly has your best interests in mind. Even more, who has the best interests in America and the Great American Middle Class. This is our home in which all of us live. It took 240 years to build. I don't know if any politicians pass the test but I do know Trump does not.

The thing that drives my thinking is that the American Great Middle Class now includes whites, blacks, browns, reds, and yellows. I believe the Great American Middle Class has been divided and minimized by some very powerful and odious forces that couldn't care less about us or America. They care about personal power and wealth. Find the guy/gal that wants to put the Middle Class front and center again then rally around them. It ain't Trump.

So, who is the Great American Middle Class? They are the people that put men on the moon, teach in schools and universities, serve in hospital and clinics, write great books, build houses, plan cities, defend our nation, secure our communities, manage and work in big and small businesses, volunteer to help others, invent great cures for diseases, care for us when we are sick, build a plethora of high tech products that shape our lives, or families, our friends, our communities are all part of the Great American Middle Class. They are the people that built America, secure and protect it. We can do without billionaires and Washington elites, but America can't do without us.

Perhaps the most corrosive belief is the one that postulates if you work hard you will succeed; if you'r rich you deserve it, if you're poor you deserve it. This relegated the middle class to a class of "losers" somewhere under the pedestal of the very rich. It has become, for some of us, part of our psyche and our guilt. It makes us subservient to the ultra rich, ultra successful, and ultra powerful. It denies us our basic humanity. It belongs in the graveyard of supposed human inadequacy and humanity.

I'm sorry our government has been pushing leftist lies since the tet offensive since 1968.
Leftists have pretty much gotten our government to do their bidding since then. If you have complaints about how we are all slaves to the rich, it is the Democrats doing.

Right now Bernie Sanders is the democratic front runner for the presidential nomination.
He is running on exactly the platform described in the OP. On fact he would take that post, paste it on TV and say i approve this message.

Maybe you're ideas are far different than what most Democrats seem to be promoting..

Right now Bernie Sanders is the democratic party.

Are you capable of seeing anything positive in "the left" (lefts leave the definition issue for now)? Do you think irony means "like metal"?

My ideals are as posted and contain a lot of questions. I do not believe ANY candidate or those in Washing give two hoots for the middle class. Dems love the poor, Republican love the rich. Dems love the Washington elites, Republican love the Wall Street elites. Who love the core of America, the Middle Class?

Joe Biden seems to care, I think, but that's about it. Too bad he seems to be faltering. It sure as hell ain't Bernie or Trump.

The DNC can't run on their policies position anymore....or at least honestly....it's clear the party has adopted Venezulan style Socialism, and they know that's not gonna sell in the general election, hence the campaigns of hate and division....not to mention the failed attempts to undo the ballot box with hoax investigations.

I think many on the left have a lot of compassion for people. I think they are sincere in their desire to help them.

I think Bernie cares a great deal about people.

i think they just try and help in the wrong way. Their continual negative outlook is not conducive to people bettering their lives. Their desire for govt to be the cure is not allowing people to reach their potential.

That pretty much sums it up. One can get out of their Incredulity
once you just fully accept the fact that logic, rationality, or reality have no connection whatsoever to Democrat politics.

Credit for saying that at least. It does raise the question of who you actually mean by "the left". If someone doesn't agree with all (or any) of the things you list are they automatically not "the left"? What if two people believe distinct subsets of those things? Your title mentions "party", though you don't name it. If every single supporter and member of that party automatically "the left", regardless of what they might believe. Are you starting to doubt the point in using terms like "the left" or "the right" to define people?

Is that a "left" thing or a human thing? Is there no negativity on whatever you call "the right"?

Fair enough question about the left, I'd say off the top of my head that if 75% or more of what I listed applies then that equals "left". Thus the Dem Party is left easily.

And yes on a political forum it is acceptable to use the term left or right as a descriptive term for people. At a local baseball game I'm not seating people based on their political view, but in a political setting yes. And the title of this sub forum supports that.

The right has negativity, but it is not the majority driving force behind the ideology. It is on the left. Stirring up envy, hate and fear is their bread and butter these days.

That i mostly agree on except you might give Biden a little more credit thsn i would.

I think there have been Republicans who care but they tend to go do other things.
I think Ted Cruz cares and i believe Trey Gowdy cares.

    I have been too.

He attacks liberals a lot, that could be construed as negative.

But as far as just being negative in general, no.

Being negative about America, absolutely no.

At this point I’m convinced you don’t even know what fascism is. It’s just a scary unoriginal name to slander someone with.

Well you can copy and paste. Good.

But what part of that applies to RL? None of it.

Again more laziness from the left throwing accusations of Nazi to anything on the right.

It’s comical in it’s talking point nature these days. Your as predictable as the sun coming up.
