It is true that Americans want the wall.

It just so happens that they are a significant minority of the US population.

 

Dont separate them from their kids and then let the kids die in our custody.

 

Yet still enough to elect someone few like.

 

And 9.8 million more elected a group of politicians in 2018 to specifically stop him and his wall.

I don't subscribe to the notion that a future Democratic President would naturally do that. Democratic Congresses haven't followed the Gingrich precident and tried to hold the President hostage wBith a shutdown crisis.

None the less, the possibility that some future President from ANY party might do it, make it all the more imperative that this not be allowed to stand now.

This is not an ordinary political issue. This will set a precident that some future tyrant would cross.

Not Trump. He bellows and strutts. But he's both too lazy and too weak to want to be a real dictator.

But we can't count on Trump's weakness and vulnurability to get us past this.

Because if we take the easy way out on this one, the next guy will find an easy way in.

 

What do we do with 62,000 a month? How big of a increase in taxes are you willing to pay to keep things as they are? $2000 a year, $5000, $7500? How much is the question?

 

And get shot down in the SCOTUS failing to prove a real emergency.

 

Like a gun violence emergency or maybe a global warming crisis? Why are trumpers so slow on the uptake?

 

That depends where the left judge shops. By the time it gets to the supreme court he might already have at least another 100 miles of WALL built with funds that can be used without a national emergency.
