This analysis makes several arguments. In this highly polarized state we find ourselves in, there are baseless or hyper-exaggerated claims of where this violence comes from. This paper by the Centers for Strategic and International Studies (a bi-partisan organization) clearly lays out the threat we face.

In spite of all the hand-wringing and finger-pointing and faux outrage, it is Right-Wing extremism that has been and continues to be the more serious threat. And it only makes sense as it should be clear by now that we don't have an ideological war going on, but rather a cultural war between whites and everyone else.

When you have a movement, unleashed and cultivated by Trump himself, that actively perpetuates fear of non-whites, and a right-wing media that provides false equivalency and disinformation, how does one get from where we are at to where we want to be?

Is there anything that can be done to remove these false beliefs and ideas about race? I won't go into specifics since all you have to do is read through all the thread titles that have been created over the past year to see the conflict of racial perceptions, but the point is that whether someone actively knows what they are proposing in defending these racist groups (or Trump), or blissfully ignorant of it, how does one bridge that gulf?

This isn't the "real issue" left-wing or right-terrorism, is a small part of what we have to consider. Even normal crime, medical, jobs, and our nations overall success in the global terrain is more likely to effect your future than domestic terrorism.

The forum right wingers definitely attempted to deflect, I agree (although those same pedos are terrorists as well), but the "analysis" included right wing, anarchists and al-Queda among other things.

Especially since 9/11, terrorism has been the boogie man under the bed and this is no different driven by irrational fear and hyperbolel. There are hundreds of things that are higher in likelihood of occuring than being a victim of "terrorism" in the United States.

It's bullshiite.

"Terrorism" is just a tool used by the ruling class to generate irrational fear based reactions to drive lemmings over the cliff. It birthed control mechanisms such as The Patriot Act, DHS and the NDAA. You should fear your own government more than "terrorism". It is the real threat.

Conservatives didn't approve of that as compared to the way many leftists approve of the current violence that is occurring. I don't recall any conservative support of McVeigh. I don't remember conservatives trying to pay bail to get McVeigh released from jail before his trial, and conservatives were not protesting against McVeigh having received the death penalty. Sharp contrast to today's rioting and looting and destruction, where some leftist politicians openly support it, and some leftist members of this forum have also supported it.
