Many people have dubbed Joe Biden as the loser in Thursday's DNC presidential debate (with Kamala Harris touted as being the winner). I really do not believe, however, that the loser was onstage that night. Rather, the real loser, in my opinion, was Tom Perez (the chairman of the DNC). That is because he churlishly refused to let Fox News carry the debate, live. It is no secret that the left has attempted, ever since FNC's inception in 1996, to destroy Fox News; or, at least, to marginalize it. Tom Perez just came off looking extremely petty in all this.
If you sincerely believe that, then please feel free to watch MSNBC; or even to count yourself among CNN's (dwindling) viewership. Oh, I know: a news organization that tilts to the right of center just "isn't news"; but a news organization that tilts to the left of center really is news. Got it...
If you truly believe that FNC's rightward tilt is greater than MSNBC's leftward tilt--then please elucidate. Come to think of it, I will readily grant that Sean Hannity is well to the right of center; but just how might one (reasonably) come to the conclusion that he is any further to the right of center than CNN's Don Lemon is to the left of center?
How many Fox viewers would vote for a Democrat if their hair was on fire and a Democrat held the fire extinguisher? How does it matter if Republicans aren't going to vote in the primaries for Democrats, and these particular debates are for the Primaries.
I really do not know just what this means. (It appears to suggest that Sean Hannity is to the left of everyone else, whereas Don Lemon is to the right of everyone else. But that surely cannot be what you intend.)
Very few, I would imagine. And how many MSNBC viewers would vote for a Republican, under any circumstances? Yet Reince Priebus--the RNC chairman in 2016--did not ban MSNBC from carrying the Republican debates (in which Jeb Bush was once considered the frontrunner; and Ted Cruz was also quite viable). So I will reiterate: Tom Perez looks quite petty in all this.
I miss Al Jazeera on cable Remember The censorship we seem to live with is via "choice of story". So many news items out there of importance and they all agree on which stories are covered. Choice of story, censorship. Get It Or Not! Oh, and the real loser is Biden who demonstrates no "magnetism" although said to be leading.
Bernie Sanders was the true loser. People are tired of his bs; He is boring, repetetive and outdated. In fact, he can no longer even answer to the questions he is asked and always has to interupt others as they speak. RIP. I have for a long time now had the feeling that Biden will be DNC's nomination, but after watching some highlights, I must say I am not so sure anymore. He has the experience and status of being the political creme de la creme that the DNC usually likes and has a good reputation from his Obama days... But, I really do not know, he seems dead to me too. Williamson was my favourite.
This is really a tough call, it seems to me. The number one desire for the most Democrats is that their nominee should be able to defeat President Trump. And it once appeared that this was surely Joe Biden. However, Democrats--from the days of JFK forward (with the possible exception of LBJ) seem to fare best with young, charismatic candidates. And Joe Biden meets neither of these criteria. Perhaps Kamala Harris would be the Democrats' best bet: She is young (well, compared to Joe Biden, anyway), black (partially, at least), and female. And this has the additional benefit of comporting nicely with the Democrats' fetish for identity politics. But it is still roughly a year out, until the DNC Convention. So I will not attempt, this early, to call a winner.
Neither Fox, MSNBC, or CNN is news - sans a few short clips here and there. Its mostly editorial - blathering on about the latest Stormy Scandal for weeks on end while ignoring what is going on in the world - that and spewing State Sponsored Propaganda fed luke warm to the raging masses. First rule of journalism school "Thou Shalt Not Editorialize"
Nobody in the democratic party give two bits about Fox News. The rank and file as well as the candidates despise the network of Trump and Murdock about as much as they despise Trump and Murdock. Fox is worse than irrelevant until later in the process when these candidates may want to appeal to independents or moderate republicans. Tom Perez can be as churlish as he likes when it comes to Faux News Network The people he cares about, probably prefer it that way.
Well, if Democrats are totally uninterested in FNC--as you claim--they certainly do a very good imitation of just the opposite...
