It fits in with some of the dialogue tonight. There is always a discussion about black lives and do they matter than more? Taking away from the a system of mass incarceration and out right murder of black men. Relates to the cancer discussions tonight and expressed well in this article. Now some white people might say that singling out Black people’s lives as mattering somehow means that white lives don’t matter. Of course, that’s silly. If you went to a Breast Cancer Awareness event, you wouldn’t think that they were saying that other types of cancer don’t matter. And you’d be shocked if someone showed up with a sign saying “Colon Cancer Matters” or chanting “All Cancer Patients Matter.” So clearly, something else is prompting people to say “All Lives Matter” in response to “Black Lives Matter.” ..................................................................... Getty Images Why “Black” Makes Us Uncomfortable Dear fellow white people, let’s have an honest talk about why we say “All Lives Matter.” First of all, notice that no one was saying “All Lives Matter” before people started saying “Black Lives Matter.” So “All Lives Matter” is a response to “Black Lives Matter.” Apparently, something about the statement “Black Lives Matter” makes us uncomfortable. Why is that? Now some white people might say that singling out Black people’s lives as mattering somehow means that white lives don’t matter. Of course, that’s silly. If you went to a Breast Cancer Awareness event, you wouldn’t think that they were saying that other types of cancer don’t matter. And you’d be shocked if someone showed up with a sign saying “Colon Cancer Matters” or chanting “All Cancer Patients Matter.” So clearly, something else is prompting people to say “All Lives Matter” in response to “Black Lives Matter.” Many of the people saying “All Lives Matter” also are fond of saying “Blue Lives Matter.” If you find that the statement “Black Lives Matter” bothers you, but not “Blue Lives Matter,” then the operative word is “Black”. That should tell us something. There’s something deeply discomfiting about the word “Black.” I think it’s because it reminds us of our whiteness and challenges our notion that race doesn’t matter. snip// We need to say “Black Lives Matter,” because we’re not living it. No one is questioning whether white lives matter or whether police lives matter. But the question of whether Black lives really matter is an open question in this country. Our institutions act like Black lives do not matter. The police act like Black lives do not matter when they shoot unarmed Black people with their arms in the air and when Blacks are shot at two and a half times the rate of whites, even when whites are armed. The judicial system acts like Black lives don’t matter when Blacks are given more severe sentences than whites who commit the same crimes and are turned into chattel in a for-profit prison-industrial complex. And white people act like Black lives do not matter when we fail to raise the appropriate level of outrage at unjustified killings of Blacks or when we respond with platitudes like “All Lives Matter.” Read More: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-halstead/dear-fellow-white-people-_b_11109842.html
I can't speak for anyone else, but that's the impression I get. I think it does say there are different degrees of importance attached to the different cancers.
Or, it could be that white people want to see black people raise themselves out of the ghetto, and join the society of success. Black people don't need whitey's permission or free gifts in order to succeed. The black people in my family are all successes. They all did it on their own. They don't wear gang tatoos. Their pants go all the way up to their waists. They succeeded, and their kids will succeed, because the family will not accept less from them.
Success, Tatoos and Wardrobes and Independent of each other. No one gets to pick their parents ... NO ONE
Black lives matter only represents blacks that are killed by police and not the pervasive and massively more prolific black on black crime.
BLM is just another excuse. The movement is built on the smaller lie of "hands up don't shoot", which is simply a part of a larger lie. The larger lie is that white people and the police are in any way responsible for the murder and crime rates in the black community. If black lives mattered, maybe they should focus on raising their kids right and being actual mothers and fathers. Then there wouldn't be a 50 per 100k black on black murder rate and an 80%+ single parent rate. There are some amazing people out there who happen to be black, but their sub-culture of violence and criminal behavior is huge.
Look at the bright side, for every Gang Banger who gets Killed (and I know how much you really care about them) there's a D-Money, Smoothie and Shifty impregnating a Young Thang in a neighborhood near you, diluting the Superior Race. How's about that Cuzz
Blacks have extremely higher crime rates in white founded/maintained/majority nations. Whites are therefore correct to conclude black diversity lowers white quality of life due to whites being disproportionately victimized by blacks. Hilariously, black cops are more likely to kill blacks than are white cops, but the black narrative is that blacks are oppressed by whites. It is not in white interests for whites to have blacks in white founded/maintained/majority nations. Blacks for black nations; whites for white nations. Anything else turns white nations into Brazil and burdens whites with black presence.
Nice racist post. Was that supposed to bother me or something? If Mr. D-Money wants to pay child support or go to prison I suppose that's up to him huh? Thanks for reinforcing my point, by the way.
<Rule 2> From the BLM website. What do you think state-sanctioned violence means? Black people killing black people?
Oh I'm fine but thanks for the concern. Your thread though isn't working out so well for you. We explain why BLM is a joke for you, then you back up the explanations with your own posts. Instead of marching around with signs, maybe they should try working to support their children and learning how to parent.
It's a Civil Rights Issue, but you're free to call it whatever you want, because no one really gives a F, what you call it and thus your input is negligible.
It's not a civil rights issue. It's an excuse based on a lie. Black people have the same rights as anyone else, in addition to laws specifically protecting them that others don't have. The police target criminals. If black people want to be targeted less by police, then they should stop committing the bulk of the crime. It's really that simple.
Right. Prostate cancer doesn't get the star treatment one might expect. Those who are afflicted probably wonder why breast cancer, not prostate, would be addressed by the NFL ... male players, overwhelmingly male audience, female cancer awareness?
Yes; it's odd how violence and low IQ follow blacks around the world. Wonder what environmental variable could explain such a persistent pattern. Anyway, i don't know which white nation is benefiting from black diversity, or why any white would want more.
