Expressed in another way, if we could look at the Universe from outside it everything we see would be everything we see in the present, as you say, like a photograph. But no time would be evident in the photograph, and the time would have to be expressed in relation to another time, relative to some datum of time such as t = 0 for such an entire present in the whole Universe to have any meaning to man.

It depends on who is asked whether time actually exists or if it does not.

I think that the possibility exists that man will never know the answer.

Certainly science could never have gotten anywhere without using time as concept, a function, and a factor in mathematics.

    Nonsense.
How can time exist without someone to count the seconds, minutes, etc.
    Change Happens
    Time Is Man Made
Not To Confuse Change With Time.

There may be other 'someones' without HS to count the time.

Other species may have discovered time.

There are none that need it for anything. You can't discover something that was invented. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.

Why would you even consider that, if there were others, they would count time in the same manner as humans?

See what I am getting at here?

This world doesn't need it. Animals don't need to know what time it is. Only humans do. If there were other 'things' out there, why would they need our time? They would be too young if closer to the center of the universe and too advanced if further away than we are.

Besides, what makes you think this thing we call life is reality and not just a small part of something more? No one really even understands this existence that well. They never will, either.

We were bending red hot 1" solid steel handrail for an engine room. My rosebud burner assistant said "Don't put the gloves on to hold it and make the bend, it won't hurt you, it's all in your mind."

I let it pass without shoving him into the inner bottom and bolting the manhole cover on.

    Semantic quibbling duly noted!

Essentially you are erroneously alleging that the universe cannot exist unless someone can measure dimensions like height, width, depth, distance and time and that it patently false. The height of a mountain will be different over a time span of 100,000 years. The distance between the earth and the moon will be different over that same time span. Time exists for the mountain and the moon IRRESPECTIVE as to whether or not we are around to measure it.

No one "invented" time because you can't "invent" a dimension.

Not sure if this will answer OP's questions, but I recently watched this video which kind ties into this which is really interesting.

I think you are anti semantic

Weren't YOU a fan of deplanetizing Pluto now to be planetized again?

Pluto remains a Dwarf planet and will stay that way. The reason it was declassified as a planet remains and is actually being increasing constantly as new Kuiper belt objects are found.

Imagine trying to name thousands of planets and keep track of them all.

Oh that is so last year. <yawn>
Now, Pluto is getting Planetized again because it clears its' orbital path
    unlike your belt bolders.

Do people on this forum have difficulty in understanding what a void is ?

I do not have demonstrate a void has no energy , by definition a void has no energy and no matter .

Quite clearly naivety is ripe on this forum like some of the members .

    Let me explain it in terms you might be able to relate to;

Your posts are void of any relevant content!

Let me post in a term you will understand, science is full of chit and I will happily get all the mediocre minded scientists the sack .

Einsteins was an idiot , E=mc² is not even correct, the big bang is useless and mediocre subjective garbage .

Do you really want to engage in science with me ?

Do you really want me to show the world how stupid most of you actually are ?

Let's start with , an infinite spatial void has always existed , the existing space of the void is made of no thing , the space itself is nothingness , time being absolute agreeing with Newton .

An infinite spatial void cannot expand , be created or destroyed .

Anything you can imagine could be possible in an infinite spatial void .

Good point...it would be unwise to engage in a discussion concerning anything scientific with someone who does not accept science fundamentally. We have a few who are borderline here but they are mostly entertainment pieces, you however do not seem to have this quality which renders you somewhat pointless.
