It was in the late 1990's when the Marine Corps first noticed "snowflakes" showing up at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego and Paris Island. Something was different with these new recruits. The DI would call the recruit a "piece of amphibious (*)(*)(*)(*)" and the tears started running down the face of the snowflake and the snowflake was crying and saying "You called me a bad name...I want to go home."

Then what was really alarming and actually a national security threat it was discovered most of these snowflakes have never been in a fist fight, they didn't know how to fistacuff. They have been so sheltered and protected so much while growing up, they didn't know how to deal with bullies.

 

Kids today have been taught to be scared. They are taught at a very young age to be afraid of strangers, and especially men. If anybody touches them, they are to report this immediately. What happens then is even worse because the parents/teachers/adults get very very very serious. This touching thing must be the worst thing in the world!

No climbing trees, no whipping your ******* out and peeing on them either, wear your helmet while riding a bicycle, ten year olds being driven to school while strapped in a baby seat, no walking on the grass, walk/don't walk, police everywhere, and watch out for them too!, no talking with strangers, no playing unattended, report anybody who touches you "inappropriately" including your dad, no bullying, language police constantly on the prowl waiting for an N word or a R word or a B word, constantly worried about oppressed minorities, being an oppressed minority, dangerous foods that have stuff called GMO cooties in them, global warming, acid rain, catholic priests, STDs, genderized toys, trigger warnings on movies (pg-13, r, x), games, secondhand cigarette smoke, carcinogens, germs, viruses, cholesterol, preservatives, MSG, sugar, trans fats, glutens, guns, toy guns, snacks in the shape of guns etc. etc. etc. etc.

and then we have the internet and smart phones and social media...

Is it any wonder that we have a generation of snow flakes?
