I would say no sweat but....it is hot and humid here...but it is supposed to cool down for a couple of days.
Another day of blistering heat for just about everybody, and then some relief (but don't break out the pullovers and sweaters yet). For the time-being, just keep adding ice cubes to your drink... and remember to "drink lots of fluids"....
Spokane, Washington. Very cool summer. Usually it's around 100 and on fire at this time of year. Got down to 47 last night.
The heat wave gripping the East Coast is finally over. People can safely venture back outside again...
90 degrees in Dallas, Texas (32 degrees Celsius) on 8/22/19 at 9:30pm. 46% humidity. Typical summer evening.
I got 3.25" of rain over the last 2.5 days. "They" say I didn't get beyond 2.75 ". More proof, "they" cannot be trusted! Moi
~ Another beautiful evening in California. Cool & clear with moonlight , stars and drifting clouds. On & off sprinkles ... ☔
Ah, and the lovely Coastal Californian atmosphere, perfumed with the aroma of homeless bums' vomit, piss, and sh*t... along with the resinous vapors of trash piles burning next to the landscapes of tents, cardboard boxes, and sleeping bags.... Paradise Elysium -- California-style!
Naw... I always liked La Jolla best -- near Mt. Soledad but facing west. The homeless bums can't make the climb up from the easy-pickings down below on 'the boulevard'. Parenthetically, our weather in Colorado continues to be NORMAL. It's nice! The ski areas are doing a lot of holiday business and everybody's pretty happy. I guess there's parts of the planet where everything is just so bug-eyed HORRIBLE, but it surely ain't that way here in the Rockies.... And, no, you can't grow orchids year-round outdoors yet, but the 'global warming' that everybody's so spun-up about isn't anywhere near here....
Seriously, I used to get on my bicycle and start right at the beach, near the intersection of Neptune and Nautilus and ride all the way to the top of Mt. Soledad -- without stopping! You didn't have wall-to-wall homeless bums all over the damned place in San Diego back in the 80's and 90's.... Even more difficult was riding up from Hidden Valley Rd. to Via Capri and then on to the top of Soledad. Yeah, I did have to stop and catch my breath on THAT stretch....
Nice. Thanks for reminding me why I moved to the country, P. All I can smell in my neck of the woods is a faint hint of pine in the air and occasionally the smoke from someone's wood stove down the road.
Thanks, James. I haven't been out West since I spent the summer of '86 in Nushegak, Alaska. Sometimes I wonder if my eyes will ever gaze upon the Rockies again.
Northeastern OK had a nice 73F christmas...but now it's the 60s and headed to low 40s by weekend. Weather is never mundane here. I truly hate it when we have temps in the 30s...just hate it. But it's coming.
I'm in canada right now, and it's interesting that it is crazy cold, but it used to get this cold at home. But, it doesn't anymore.
Ahhhhhh, Early Spring and Late Fall in Houston. It's been dreamy weather for the past 7 days easy, maybe the past two weeks. Bummed missing Baseball today. Kinda bummed with my Stros scandel, but not even close enough to give them up just yet. A worse Sin they did however was give up Cole to the ****ing NYY!!!
