It is now 3 degrees here in Jackson and falling. Good news is that there is no snow in the picture for at least 7 days. Yah, no shoveling for a week.

Watching the weather channel yesterday it said that Scotland had winds that were up to 175 MPH. Good kite weather huh.
You're right, it's been wild but it's calmed down now. People have continued to refuse to be kept down though, as they do here. It's all a big communal joke now. Morning Viv. Well we have no winds here but we do have a beautiful full moon and 8 below zero again or should I say still. Take care and be careful.
Well what do you know, this morning it is only one degree above zero. That's right we now have a heat wave going on.
"Flooding, damage across the state as summer storm strikes" "Up to 1000 homes remain without power this morning following the severe thunderstorms and torrential downpour across the state overnight. Roads are closed and several bridges were washed out as 44 millimetres of rain was dumped in several hours of stormy weather." Well it was 31 above yesterday and the heat wave continues today. Right now it is 6 above and on tghe rise.
That is a beautiful shot!! I have to use this on desktop. We are supposed to be hit with this tomorrow.

And the heat wave continues today. It is now 12 degrees above zero this morning but they have forecast snow for today and tomorrow.
It's evening here, 6C with sleet/hail showers, and last night was gusting to 60/70mph It's calmer for now, but more of the same due for the rest of the week.
Sunny today, high about 42. Don't know about tomorrow--haven't checked the forecast. I suppose if I want to know what the weather is tomorrow, all I have to do is look out the window.
Overcast 0°F (-18°C) Not bad, not bad at all when you consider 20 below is not that uncommon here in the winter.
Weather here is nuts. Its summer, and it was hot yesterday, it bucketed rain last night, its hot again today but was meant to be cold. It is meant to be cold tomorrow and warm on Xmas day even though the weather people said last week it would rain on Xmas day. If I could control the weather...it would be 30C everyday.
Mak, that sounds lovely. It's still like the frickin Arctic wastes here, but I don't know the temperature because I've not been out in the car. It's to snow/rain/sleet. Fortunately I managed to miscommunicate arrangements and had to take a day off myself to receive delivery of the new dishwasher and tv as the son is at a house party (which I apparently knew about for weeks!!). That's another thing about cold weather, everything seems to break more. Snow tyres went on at the weekend, £280 but worth it. The Citroen was useless in the snow on Friday morning and it's better now, even on the ice. Friday morning was snowing when we got up. At the end of the road, 5 vehicles (including 2 large vans) were stuck at the junction, sliding about and skidding and not able to gain traction. That went on for an hour, before I managed to get past and skid down the hill into a rear fishtaily maneouvre at the bottom, then a snow plough went past and made it slightly better, although he didn't grit it. I made it to the city centre, but only stayed an hour and did a job involving others, then bolted the course back home. SO I'm glad to be home today. Tomorrow I have to travel a bit. Dreading it.
Just a thought but have you ever considered studded snow tires. They work really well in the kind of weather that you are having. It sounds like the weather you are getting is what we get around here. Once all of the bad weather is gone you can just have the snow tires switched with the regular ones you use. It is a bit of an expense but it is worth it. Please drive carefully.
