The investigation is done? I do not believe that Mueller would have put together the team he has if that was the case so you can stop your wishful thinking. But it doesn't answer my question. Is Van Jones credible now, or is he still considered a loon by you guys? I've always thought the Green Jobs Czar was a loon and a raging racist. So I'm trying to understand the point here. Because he decided Trump didn't collude with Russia (something which I happen to agree with), does that mean the case is closed?

 

Perhaps, I can help you understand what's going on here.

First of all, you don't have to believe anything Van Jones says to believe that the Left's "bullshit" Russia narrative is nothing more than 1) a fig leaf to hide the reasons why Democrats have been getting their asses waxed at the polls since 2009 and 2) an excuse to stall and obstruct the Republican agenda in Congress.

Secondly, you know things are going bad for the Left and its "bullshit" Russia narrative when a prominent partisan "progressive" hack like Van Jones describes it in the exact same terms ("nothing burger") that Republicans like Ted Cruz have been using for months.

Finally, Jones' comment may be an indication that the wheels may be finally falling off the Left's Russia wagon after John Bonifield's inconvenient fit of candor. Many of us have been wondering when this thing would fall apart and perhaps now that time has come. Bonifield has certainly made it more difficult to keep pushing that narrative now that he has admitted what many of us have known all along - it's bullshit, a nothing burger, the arrogance of Leftists who don't want to admit that their bad ideas, bad policies and bad candidates are what have turned voters against them.

 

So then Van Jones is a credible source now to some people because he uses the same term that Ted Cruz (is that Lyin' Ted?) used. Okay, that's all I wanted to know. I never found him to be credible so I'd be one of the last people to jump on his words as proof of anything.

Like I said, I don't believe there was any collusion between Donald Trump himself and Russia. But the investigation is still ongoing, and I don't think Michael Flynn is off the hook yet.

 

That's not what I said, but that may be the case for some people. As I stated in my post, you don't have to believe anything Van Jones says to believe what most of us already knew and Jon Bonifield recently confessed. However, it's not difficult to see that things aren't looking good for the Left's "bullshit" Russia narrative when one of its grand poohbahs calls it a "nothing burger".

I can't say I know enough about Flynn's case to comment one way or the other.

I also suspected that Trump didn't collude with Russia, but the investigation is still ongoing, and associates of his are under investigation. Just like the ongoing and at one point seemingly endless Benghazi investigation was being reported on. People on the left declared Hillary blameless long before that ended.

Things aren't looking good for the left or the right now. The healthcare bill failure isn't making the right look any better. In fact, in the end, it may be more harmful than the investigation into Russia, which has to go on anyway because the investigation isn't about Trump's involvement with Russia - it's about Russian's involvement with our election.

I just know that wild horses wouldn't make my hypocritical to use Van Jones' words as proof of anything, good bad or indifferent. The man is a menace. His words mean as much as that email I got yesterday telling me I could collect $14 million if I wire $2500 to Mrs. Enoba Hungazi's account.
