to be on top of the list in their mid-30's is a testament to their greatness.

If you don't follow any tips or advice they offer, be it fitness or tennis, then you're a fool.

I can't imagine a more lovely and gracious sisterly duo to claim the tennis championship titles. Hurrah and best wishes to them both!

I can easily imagine a person more "gracious" and lovely than Serena Williams.

In any country whenever an athlete wins a championship (whether black or white) he or she is highly honored as an example of greatness. The USA is the only country in the world where we fail to do this. I have been on several sports chat room watching live tennis broadcasts where white Americans are rooting for European opponents of the Williams sisters. European chatters have asked, "how can you root for someone who is not American?" Often the reply is that they cannot root for the girls because they are {insert the N word}. This is typical unpatriotic right wing racism unique to the USA.

Didn't want of them get in trouble recently regarding a fatal accident they were involved in? Seems like a saw it scroll across the TV screen.

What the hell are you talking about? V and S are some of the most popular American athletes here, and S is regarded as probably the best ever.

Yes. It was clearly an accident though. Apparently she was "technically" in the wrong, but the diagrams I've seen don't really prove either way

That would be Venus Williams. She was found at fault by police in a traffic fatality.

FIFA has continually come down on various European football teams whose fans have used racial slurs and taunts towards other players.

Don't kid yourself and don't pretend that racism only occurs in the US though it seems to fit your agenda to say so.

But in light of the footage, the police department released a statement exonerating Williams, saying, "the vehicle driven by Venus Williams lawfully entered the intersection on a circular green traffic signal, and attempted to travel north through the intersection to Ballenisles Drive."

The police said a car entered the intersection in front of Williams and made a left turn, causing her to stop advancing through the intersection to avoid a collision. The crash occurred when Williams started to legally proceed.

The update from the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department and video released today show that Venus lawfully entered the intersection on a green light and was impeded in her progress through the intersection," Williams' attorney, Malcom Cunningham, said in a statement. "As the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department points out, once Ms. Williams entered the intersection lawfully, she had the right to proceed through the intersection and other vehicles including those with a red light changing to green, were obligated to yield the right-of-way to Ms. Williams."

Not sure where you get "Williams has already settled out of court" from.

I'm not here to adjudicate the accident.

I'm just saying there are several things that don't add up and it's odd the local police department thought Williams was the cause of an accident and now suddenly find the local resident Williams not the cause of someone's death (also inexplicable for what should have been a very low speed impact)..

The way Yahoo and William's attorney and now also the police keep stating that Williams entered the intersection legally makes me wonder what happened after that, that would cause someone's death.

I would like to see a single account of what happened that doesn't serve the self interests of Venus Williams.

    Erroneous news account, I suppose.
I do expect that to happen before too long however.

I don't recall exactly. It's inexplicable....just like Venus Williams stopping in an intersection and then colliding with another vehicle so hard that it causes a death to someone in the other car.

They are both very good and they have avoided any scandals, which is unusual in careers so long.

    No it's not.

Police say that the matter is still under investigation and Williams has already settled out of court.

So your first post was that it's still under investigation and that she's already settled out of court.

But now you can't remember where you read it and that Williams caused the crash.

    Well, which is it?

So are you claiming she has settled or not? Because when I said I read that somewhere you disagreed....so do you or not?

    According to your
source, Yahoo, the police say the matter is still being investigated. Do you disagree with your own citation?

I can't remember where I read that and I've never claimed Venus Williams caused this traffic death.
Show me where I did. I'll wait.

I've only said the accounts of the accident so far are contradictory and very odd.

    There has been no settlement.

You claim it's still under investigation but then go on to place blame on Williams, but on the other hand you're not here to adjudicate the case.

I still want to know where you read that there was a settlement.

    That's right. I'm not.

That's right. Those are the facts and it seems very strange to me.
Get some new facts if you don't like them.

No they're not. That's not even in the police report. You're making up your own facts.

Do you know what adjudicate means? Your post suggests you don't.
