Sorry, Trump is only using the laws that Congress passed and they pass laws based on what they can do constitutionally. If Congress wants to do something about the laws they passed that is up to them.

Nobody running is a socialist. But if the Democrats try to force a candidate onto people they will lose.

The socialist rhetoric has gone limp, there is no reason for the Democrats to submit to Republican word games.

 

What has Trump done to say you'll never vote Republican again? I have been a Democrat longer than I have been a Republican. But this is not the Democratic Party I looked up to. This is not the Democratic Party that put Americans and our country first. This Party is only interested in is power and they are doing everything in their power to get it and keep it. I don't know how anyone can't see that.

 

Duh. Every incumbent election is like this. There was no serious opposition to Obama in 2010 either, or Bush in 2004, or Clinton in 1996, or Reagan in 1984, etc.

The incumbency advantage is massive enough against a rival party, let alone against primary challengers.

 

The left do have one very good candidate, Andrew Yang, but sadly he is far too progressive and smart for the DNC.

I believe there is room for a left and right perspective in government. It's been my experience a respectful melding of those two approaches to issues can lead to good policy.

But we are not in that period. It seems to me, sensing the time was right, the extreme Progressive left struck when Obama surfaced as a viable Presidential candidate. From that moment, political correctness was given teeth, multiple messaging channels were exploited, (Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.) and alternative propaganda outlets grew exponentially (ThinkProgress, MediaMatters, HuffPo, etc..). MSM, a dying business model, sensed an audience could be built by manipulation and attack. The New York Times, WaPo, etc., all have staved off bankruptcy by playing to a targeted audience after selling their soul to the Gods of Yellow Journalism.

Consider what the left is offering in the House. It's reruns and empty claptrap. Warren went on the warpath the other day, sending out smoke signals regarding programs and wishes that were estimated to cost taxpayers $100 trillion.

Beto, nothing but an empty suit, a political Kardashian, is a golden boy. AOC? Enough said.

As a Nation we will get through this period where the desperate are working hard to complete the objective of Obama's handlers - to fundamentally change the US. It is up to people who reject that type of change to continue to push back. The Nation must not be allowed to go the way of California.
