It is a sad day for me today. Fox has cancelled the ONLY TV show that I watch. Terra Nova, why is life so unfair sometimes?

I watched part of an episode. I turned it off because I started hoping some of them would be eaten by dinosaurs. They should do one more episode and kill them all.

    I was disappointed too...

Apparently, they're shopping it to other networks, though...

But, you know how Fox is with TV shows...

If it doesn't perform beyond anyone's expectations, it gets the axe...

Look at Fringe (cancelled), Alcatraz (about to be cancelled), and others...

Hey, maybe SyFy will pick it up...

They did a great job with Battlestar Galactica...

In the meantime, you could watch The River...

    Awesome show on ABC...

You'd have to utilize Hulu or something to catch up on this season, though, and the finale is next week...

    Better hurry...

I watched a few episodes but was rather disapointed. It didn't suck me in. After about a month the show was axed here because of poor ratings, which is what happened in the US.

I think the ratio of the expense of the show versus the small audience it attracted meant it didn't have a chance. They could spend a 10th for twice the audience with a reality show.

Blast it! One of my very few favourite tv shows and it's a goner. Just like they did with Space Above and Beyond. At least I think Primeval is still going.

    Can't say i care.

I watched one episode, with hopes of something deep, mysterious even challenging for a new sci fi.

Instead wooden acters being out acted by the CGi!

If Tv networks do want to make Tv shows that are "so bad they are good"

Then why not copy the king of that genre "plan 9 from outer space"

Do away with pretense of real acting, why waste money on cgi? A few tires on string will do.

Not every new series has to be lost ion denial in it is shakespeare. If it is meant to be bad and crap, then celebrate the crapness.

Kept holding back should have jumped in with both feet and kept the story flowing more fast paced and it probably would have retained an audience.

One big money dino effect per show and a soap opera storyline about people you don't relate to or like for the most part... boring!!

I am sad only because I would watch each episode and then ridicule it with a buddy afterward.

I loved the concept of the show- but the writing was horrible, and the acting not much better.

Seriously- who thought it was a a good idea that these people should be armed with Nerf guns? Nobody ever showed a lick of common sense. The plots were bad soap opera's, and as a science fiction buff- it was really, really bad science fiction.

And the dialogue was just cheesy, cheesy.

Hopefully someday someone will do the concept better.

    "Reality" TV should be illegal.

All people do is talk about how terrible these "reality" shows are, but guess what.

They talk about how terrible it is, while they watch it.

"Reality" tv is a major contributor to the daily dumbing down of people everywhere.

Not until they get better writers, who know or remember what telling a good story is all about.

Of course good writing and storylines require an audience with an attention span, that is longer than the last commercial, so both ends are playing against the middle.

Alcatraz is another one. just create a story line that can never end and we will never actually tell you what is going on and we can milk it for at least 10-12 episodes.

Amen brother. Have you seen commercials for that new show where burned out barely celebrities are going to go around looking to buy houses they could never afford? Joe and Jill 'wish I was still somebody' meets the 'lifestyles of the rich and delirious'!!!

Who in the heck cares what houses, what you talkin bout Willis the drug addict, a has been criminal ice skater, and the Partridge family’s x-drummer can’t afford any more??? This is really the best there is to offer for entertainment purposes?

If they do RP, they need to do a reboot of the entire premise!

We had just the TV pilot and one episode by now. The pilot was good but the first episode was kind of stupid. I will give it another chance next Monday.

I liked Flash Forward, too. But was canceled very fast.

    Not so fast...

    http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2012/03/08/could-terra-nova-end-up-with-netflix/

Netflix seems to be getting on the right side of TV fans.

The company is already resuscitating cult favorite "Arrested Development," and according to Entertainment Weekly, Netflix also has its eye on Steven Spielberg's now canceled "Terra Nova."

The series was canceled earlier this week after one season, but 20th Century Fox TV and Netflix are chatting about the possibility of bringing "Terra Nova" to life once again.

Those in the know strongly emphasize that the discussion is preliminary, but it seems that if Netflix were to pick up "Terra Nova's" story, there would be some interest.

EW notes that the show might wind up the highest-rated cancellation of the season, with an average of 3.6 in the adult demographic, and 10.1 million viewers.

A show can't stay on air if no one is watching it. If they bring back Terra Nova, what can one network do that another couldn't to make people want to tune back in?
