3 to 10 years in Prison. No less than 3 years and no more than 10 years. This judge did merge all the charges into one charge.Plus *Prosecutors made it clear that since this Judge determined that Cosby { as determined by a Psychiatrist } was a Violent predator who could demonstrate his hunting prowess again if allowed.Even if the ' Cos ' was let off for good behavior at 3 years he still would be required to serve 2 years and 9 months. The Prison he will be staying at is roughly less than 20 miles from his Philly Mansion. He could have faced 3 counts of 10 years each. The Judge cut him some slack and merged the charges {convictions } into one due to his old age. * That by statute Cosby is now a registered sex offender deemed Violent and therefore not afforded any House Arrest.
Don't look for any camera shots of Cosby being escorted into some Police van behind the Court house.Or some Private vehicle.Once a sentence is read handed down in a conviction that person sentenced does not see the light of freedom until sentence served.I see where a Video is already placed in that spot in the rear of the court house surrounded by security and police with bicycles.
There is a bit of controversy over Bill Cosby's apparent Blindness. That Bill Cosby who now wears a Prison number MAY need an assistant or helper to get around while in jail.Probably a bunkmate. The state of Pennsylvania like new York state allows it's prison officials to decide as to early release or parole. That could mean early release after serving 2 years 9 months.
So they are locking up Fat Albert, huh? Then when he gets out he will have to Register as a Sex Offender wherever he lives in the US.
I'm not sure about the logistics of this But I believe due to his conviction and sentencing I think he's already deemed a registered Sexual Offender.Which is why he cannot be afforded house arrest.
