He's not the brightest box of rocks. Every other Democrat Congressman is thinking like him, except they won't say what they're actually thinking out loud.
Listen to what he says. He's dumb enough to openly spill the beans.

Its only been in the last 3 months that I began to think seriously about adding some seats. I was pretty closed minded before, but seeing as a I know that Moscow Mitch is going to kill the filibuster anyway once he becomes majority leader, and I know that he will not allow any hearings until Biden is out of office even if a Justice dies the day after midterms, potentially leaving the court understaffed for years, it begins to make sense to increase the number of justices to maybe 12 in anticipation of the loss of a couple, while both parties are playing political games until somehow this hyper-partisan era subsides.

Regardless, we won't have the votes to do this in any event. But its actually something to consider in the abstract.

I've come to the conclusion that they haven't a clue so their only solution is to blame the right for everything.
They will say and lie about anything in order to obtain or keep power.

It's not really about trying to keep people safe. Look at the chaos they've unleashed in several cities.
    Look at the border.

So you have to wonder what it is actually about.

Trying to make an issue out of something attempting to drum up support? We all know Democrat voters have been running low on enthusiasm recently. They're afraid they won't turn out.

    There could be other motives.

I'm not left and I agree. The right wing has lost all credibility. They denied Obama his rightful SC appointment. Many justices lied about abortion to get approved. Thomas's wife was deeply involved in an attempted insurrection.

Trump and his supporters declared war on everyone else. And now you expect what?

Pack the court. Do whatever it takes to win. That is how the right wing plays. Lie. Cheat. Steal. Create division. Incite violence. Hell, attack the Capitol. Those are the new rules right?

We are not on the same team and you all have made that abundantly clear. So welcome to the world you created. This is your America. It is a dead country because of each and every person who voted for trump. You ended it. Now live with the consequences.

    We haven't even begun.

That's a little inaccurate. Kavanaugh is not anti-abortion. He even has on his record forcing a mentally disabled girl to get an abortion.
The reason he is "voting against abortion", as you put it, is due to his Constitutional principles. He doesn't believe it's the appropriate role of the federal courts to be dictating this sort of thing.
You want to talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing, look at Roberts. Appointed by Bush, supposedly he was going to be a conservative, but he practically sided with progressives on most issues.

Wait, what mental healthcare was 'defunded'? Is he talking about when we got rid of insane asylums? Cuz I thought we all agreed those were bad...

All they do is generate more gun sales. Over and over and over again. At a certain point, it has to be presumed to be puposeful.

Today insane asylums are such a rarity that it's near impossible to get in even if the patient wants to get in.
To get in they have to commit some horrendous crime, and even then they have to be obviously completely insane, otherwise they'll just end up inside a regular prison.

Locking people up is pretty universally recognized as counterproductive to their getting better.

Tell that to the US prison system.

I think the government and society just don't want to provide and care for them. If they're going to do that, it's only for the purposes of punishment, and they are not going to let anyone enjoy being there. Asylums are also twice as expensive as prisons as well, another factor here.

The homeless population in the U.S. is so high now there'd be people rushing into asylums if they opened.

The pro-nut argument from the loony right - we need AR15s to shoot prairie dogs.

Senator defends AR-15 ownership, points to shooting prairie dogs
“They are a sporting rifle. And it’s something that a lot of people for purposes of going out target shooting — in my state they use them to shoot prairie dogs and, you know, other types of varmints. And so I think there are legitimate reasons why people would want to have them.”

You can't make this stuff up! He claims people need a military weapon to kill an animal HALF THE SIZE OF A CHIHUAHUA!!! LOL!

What do they need for deer?

I would bet I could kill a prairie dog with a 22 rifle from 100 yards.

Also, do the right wingers really think "We want to play" justifies the massacre of children?

What happened to family values? Why prevent abortions if they are used as cannon fodder later.

The President has the power to nominate. Nothing more.
Including those nominated by Obama and Clinton.
Yes - the GOP has finally caught on, as the Dems have been doing this for decades.
I'm more than happy to live with the consequences of Trump's 6-3 conservative majority on the court and the fact we didn't have Hillary in charge of the first 10 months of the pandemic.
    Stack up and try it.

You don't know much about firearms, do you?
    .223/5.56x45 is a varmint round.
    Prairie dogs are... varmints.

But not from 300 yards. The .224 caliber bullet used in a typical AR-15 was used in .22-250, .220 Swift and .222 Remington for varmint control up to 25 years before being used in an M-16 or AR-15.

Bullshit. And in the first place the AR-15 bullet is not a .224 caliber. It's a .223.

I really don't care where it was first used or for what. It should be banned. YOU DON'T NEED IT.
