    The reasoning behind this actually makes sense to me!!! :eekeyes: In a rare case of common sense, those altering that SAT you once took seem to be using a reasonable approach.     (Shrug) It's the end result of the general dumbing down of the humanities and of people in general always having ready access to spell checkers. I should be foursquare against that sort of thing as a seasoned citizen who was taught the 'old fashioned' way, but I'm not. Adapt or die is the operative philosophy here. As cultures change and the demands of business and industry change due to technological advances then 'new ways' naturally evolve to replace 'old ways'. Any student eventually wishing to really learn the fundamentals can always backtrack as an adult and do so years down the line. So ultimately this is no big deal.

    This is funny. The SAT has been changed about every 10 years. Most recently to eliminate SAT subject tests. Next will likely be its elimination all together.
