Taken at 100,000 feet up. They claim this proves the Earth is flat.

Two issues; at 100% feet, you're only seeing 3% of the Earth. Even in this photo, you can see the curvature beginning to form at the end.

There any flat earthers on this forum ?

It is probably taken with a telescopic lens. Evidence: you can see the river at the bottom of the picture. This means that you are seeing only a small % of the horizon.

It's FLAT! And that is my final word on the subject. In fact, I may swim to the edge and take a picture.

I just returned from an expeditionary venture to the underside. There, leftists are the sane ones, and there are people who believe the earth is.... get this... spherical. Lol.

The irony is that if you took the kind of panoramic picture from just above a flat earth, you’d see a much sharper curve of the edge rather than a completely straight horizon.

Spherical? lol everone knows gravity will crush things flat through the process of accretion. Just look at the sun...next thing people will say is islands cant flip over.

The Earth has been flat for thousands of years, Gawd ironed it out after he flooded it to get the wrinkles out. Just roll a ball on a flat surface.....it goes in a straight line instead of downhill like it would on a sphere. Oh...and any pictures have been CGI'd by NASA!

If anybody actually believes the Earth is flat in 2017 then that's one of those things where you just have to agree to disagree.

You can't even remotely begin to debate with someone who would believe that in this day and age. The sheer amount of logical evidence out there to debunk that claim is already there so there is nothing you are going to be able to do to change their mind.

Much of that thinking is based on religion and when it comes to debating religion it becomes pointless. You aren't going to convince a religious person to go against what they believe whether it makes any actual logical sense or not.

    Best to just walk away...

Here we are in 2017, with decades of information and data and advanced technology, and we're still debating if the Earth is flat or roundish? This helps define why collectively we're so stupid and helpless...good luck humans...

In 1982 some buddies and I left San Diego in a sail boat trying to get to the edge of the world but we finally gave up when we reached Hilo, Hawaii. :)

Lucky for you that you didn't go to the very edge of Hilo because you had reached the edge of the world and you could have gone over the edge. They have a series of binoculars at the edge and for 25 cents you can look down into the darkness. I don't know whether the boat would float or fly once it goes over the edge and a parachute would be helpful.

Pike's Peak State Park at MacGregor, Iowa -- that's the place where you can plainly see that the earth is flat , and also see the grandest show of autumn leaves turning colors on the face of the earth.

In Chicago it’s very easy to prove that earth is spherical - you go to the shore of Lake Michigan and look at the horizon on clear sunny day. You’ll observe what’s called oceanic view.
After that you go to Willis or John Hancock towers and look at the horizon across the lake - you will see building structures or their tops on another side of the lake. So, you can see these buildings from towers but not from shore because the earth is spherical.
