This sets the bar too low.

If the government can shut down our economy in response to a virus that is not even as deadly as the common flu, it can shut down the economy every cold/flu season. This is an over reaction to a virus that is not even as deadly as the common cold/flu. The fact is that one cannot even distinguish between the china virus and the common cold/flu without a special test.

The published kill rate of the china virus is much, much lower then being reported. Many, many thousands of people have had the china virus and gotten over it without even being tested let alone treated, but absolutely everyone who died from the china virus has been documented and included in the statistics. The real kill rate of the china virus is most certainly only a fraction of what's being reported.

Absolutely everyone who is not elderly or infirm and dies from the china virus is put on the news and named as an individual. All of the elderly and infirm who die from the china virus are referred to statistically, as numbers. This is done to give the impression that the china virus is more deadly than it is.

Our government's response sets the bar too low. It sets the bar below what is already common. It sets the bar below the common cold/flu. I don't want to come out of this with a medical 'Patriot Act', or medical TSA, or medical FISA court.

The best defense against the china virus is good general health. Get sick and get over it.

 

I tend to agree; but once the MSM managed to terrify the nation the government had to go along or else. Eventually the true statistics will surface and people will realize what really happened and so in the future it will probably me much more difficult for the MSM to stampede the nation for strictly political purposes. Ironically the nation could eventually ignore the MSM generated shrieks of "Wolf! Wolf!" when there actually does end up being one crouched at the end of the footpath.

 

I don't want it nor do I want to take a chance on it not being so bad.

 

There are millions of Americans who do not have "good general health." Is it evil to want to keep your parents or grandparents alive? That is what you seem to be saying.

because they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

 

Relax. When our area has an approaching hurricane, lots of restrictions go into to effect ... when the crisis passes, the restrictions are lifted. Ain't rocket science.

 

It also makes sense to stay in doors in a Hurricane, because it's a freaking storm. But because they can't determine "who's sick", they've decided: Well, round them all up.

When you've got former judges like Napolitano going: "Wait a minute", we're in TROUBLE(And yes, we are in trouble.) As I said: We've lost more liberties in the past 3-4 days then we've ever lost in the history of the Republic.

And presuming that the government will 'graciously' give them back is not backed by history.
