The Establishment Republicans have refreshed our enemies list of Status Quo Republican Liberals (SQRLS). It is time for SQRL hunting. We need to pick off the traitors like McCain, Graham, the sell-out McConnell, and many others. Boehner has to go. Canter too.

On the other hand it is not yet clear what benefits there are in the final law. We may discover a few grains of gold mixed into that pile of steaming excrement.

We also discovered some leaders who are willing to lead.

History will show that a few conservatives tried to stop the train from derailing. Good for them.

How do you come to the conclusion that Medicaid IS single-payer?! Medicaid is a socialized-medicine welfare handout for those who won't or don't pay for their own healthcare themselves. It has little, if anything, to do with anybody actually paying anything, and it's been so since hyperliberal Democrat Lyndon Johnson set it up, along with Medicare, back in the mid-1960's.

A single-payer system could work very well, and give us all the lowest premiums along with the best medical services, nationwide -- BUT -- the key is that ALL who benefit MUST pay! Medicaid should remain in place as a separate system, because it IS nothing but welfare! You can't have tens of millions of moochers and leeches sucking a single-payer system dry and have it result in anything that will work well for anybody, including the taxpaying citizens who have to pay for the whole damn thing....

Count the payers in the Medicaid system:

    1. The government.

    Any more questions?

You clearly are talking about someone else here. 1. I'm not even a liberal, yet alone a "hyperlib". I just don't live in the GOP bubble, so I am not prone to repeated terrible predictions based on bad info and/or lack of logic. 2. Other than subsidized student loans I've never received a single penny from the government for anything, ever. 3. I have a job. Had one since I was 16, in fact. 4. Per the IRS I make more than 97% of individuals in the U.S. 5. The stock market, which is a good barometer of how businesses are doing and how shareholders feel, has been doing great for quite some time and has hit numerous record highs.

Where is the employment rise? WHat? There isn't one? Why is that? Obama and the other Dims keep heaping burdens on the American people and ignores the harm it is causing them.

Sheer inanity. It is the Dimocrats who have gone on record literally insisting they
won't open government w/o their precious ObamaCare in full.
The GOP went thru a laundry list of exactly what Government agencies it is
willing to fully fund, except for ObamaCare. It is the Democrats who had no
problem shutting down every one of those agencies in order to make sure Obama's
Baby { ObamaCare } and his precious legacy remain in tact. The Populace was
watching and talking. As was the new Hero of the People { Ted Cruz }.
The country witnessed exactly what pain the Dimocrats were willing to put every agency
and American thru in order to Placate and appease Obama with his ObamaCare.
The entire country took a back seat to OBamaCare.
I haven't heard one good thing about the Obamacare roll out.
Just horror story after horror story.Obama and the Dimocrats Lied about
most aspect of ObamaCare. From being able to keep one's existing Health
Insurance plan to keeping one's doctor to Lowering premiums by an average of
$2,5oo.Every realistic actuary has ObamaCare Raising the cost from 70-100 %.
Meaning a Doubling of health care expense.Plus NO one is getting any
ObamaCare free.Plus Obama broke the law by changing it to accommodate his
rich friends with Exemptions for certain business and now all members of
Congress get a subsidy { 72% of which the government pays for }.
There is already rationing of medicare for old folks.
Medicare was raided by Obama and his Dimocrats to the tune of $ 716 Billion.
meaning Under ObamaCare medicare is now restricted and offers far less.

Look who you voted for in the last few elections and then tell me who the liberal is. Only one of us consistently supports big government candidates. And it isn't me.

I know who I voted for but I don't know who you voted for.

What I do know is that you seem pretty happy with the result of those elections and I'm not.

"Where is the employment rise? ... There isn't one?"

You really need to unplug from Rush and Sean and get a more informed source for your information.

    Total non farm employment
    Jan 2010 129.360 million
    Aug 2013 136.133 million

    http://www.bls.gov/webapps/legacy/cesbtab1.htm

And that includes a loss of 650,000 government jobs in the Republican dominated states in that same time period.

Yes - I believe so. But, we're a long way off from the direction we should be heading.

We've merely placed a relatively minor and probably only temporary hurdle in the way of the RATE of debt increase. Age demographics and other nanny state cost issues combined with new and more gory tax related battles will see to it that our debt wars continue on into and probably through the coming decade.

Unless you've got a sure winner, in the general election, not just the primary, I would be careful about picking off Republican senators. We need every one of them, RINO or not. If we don't take the senate, get used to a transformed America.

You report is outdated. The most recent CBO estimate has the deficit at $642 billion.
    http://cir.ca/news/cbo-2013-report

It was hardly mentioned by the so-called liberal media.

We've made significant progress in lowering the rate of increase in the debt:

    Year - Debt:GDP - change
    2008 68.1%
    2009 82.6% 14.5
    2010 90.7% 8.1
    2011 95.2% 4.6
    2012 98.9% 3.7
    2013 100.6% 1.7

2013 estimates from Heritage based on first 11 months of FY2013.

You can see that from 2009, when the debt:GDP % increased a whopping 14 percentage points, last year it increased less than two percentage points. We are close to stability. We need just a lit more improvement to see it improving.

Thus, we don't need the massive spending cuts the Conservatives are calling for.

There was only one person threatening to illegally default. That would be the ass in the White House. Had Boehner and McConnell been statesmen and leaders the nation would be secure today. Instead, we have advanced deeply into this soft tyranny that will destroy this nation -- if we do not stop the tyrant and his minions in the Congress. We can only do that by winning the Article V fight.

Absolutely wrong. Obama was not the party that knowingly and intentionally harmed our country to extort political demands he could not achieve by legitimate means. That was the Republican Tea Party.

If Obama had shut down the government to extort the House into passing a 10% sur-tax on millionaires, you'd have a point.

I will very carefully pick off the SQRLS. They need to be punished. America is already being transformed. I prefer to fight with allies at my back, not with traitors. That despicable John McCain needs to have his butt kicked all the way back where ever his Democratic friends are. And Judas McConnell needs to be completely and utterly destroyed. What happened to his namesake Judas Iscariot should be McConnell's fate as well. Let's see to it. His next election should be his last election.

Fortunately I have no strong opinions.

Which Republicans do you recall threatening to default?

    Be honest.

Who spent the last two weeks talking up default? Can you say obama? Can you say pelosi?

What does any of that matter. Bush 41, Clinton and the Republicans got the deficit down to $0 (or thereabouts) just in time for Cheney to come along and remind us that Reagan proved that deficits do not matter. We'll work for a couple decades and maybe get the deficit back down to $0, but along will come another Republican hump who will promise tax breaks to the misinformed in exchange for Republican votes a we'll be back to square one.

Actually, nobody cares about our debt. As long as the deficit is not increasing year to year and we are paying the interest on the debt (and Republicans don't make a habit out of refusing to pay the bills), the world will be willing to do business with us.

Say what you will about McConnell, he made sure the budget deal kept the sequester cuts in them.

If Reid wasn't in early onset dementia, he could have slipped single payer into the bill.

McConnell kept this defeat from becoming a full scale reversal by keeping a lot of liberal wish lists out of the bill.

    Heh.

Yeah. And defense takes one-half of all the cuts. This is not a good deal. Judas McConnell sold out the nation for two billion dollars.

We will have to agree to disagree. In the meanwhile I am supporting McConnell's challenger with my money.

For the record, I responded to this post suggesting that I am not being honest and asking me "Which Republicans do you recall threatening to default" when my post said absolutely nothing about any default, but it was deleted by the Mod.

    Yes. It was a shame.

For the record...the only ones threatening to damage the nation were Obama and his sock puppets. They were talking up default. They are liars, of course. And you support them, don't you?

The biggest liars by far are the Tearrorist Party.

I am absolutely proud that the President stood up to the extortionists, you betcha. Any real American should be appalled that the Republican Tea Party knowingly and intentionally damaged our great country just to extort political demands they couldn't achieve by legitimate means. Thank God the extortionists were soundly defeated before they could further harm our nation. God bless America, and save her from those who knowingly and intentionally try to harm her for illegitimate purposes.
