Tiger Woods has been hospitalized for "multiple leg injuries" after being involved in a serious car accident on Tuesday morning near Ranchos Palos Verdes, California. Woods had to be extracted from his vehicle with the jaws of life as it sustained "major damage" following a single-vehicle rollover traffic collision, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Woods, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center by ambulance to be treated for "moderate to critical" injuries suffered in the crash, the Los Angeles County Fire Department told CNN.

Since this happened in SoCal in February, folks are starting to make some loose comparisons to the Kobe crash last year, although I don't hear Tiger is in a life threatening situation. Perhaps career threatening however, with his back and leg injury history

I'm certain this rules out the Masters in April...

Love him or hate him, I certainly don't want his career to be over due to this.

    Genuine thoughts and prayers here...

    :salute:

Whatever 100% is for a golfer in his 40's with his extensive injury history...

The ironic part is I was cleaning my bag and clubs for a potential rare February round (in Virginia) on Thursday when MSNBC broke in with the coverage...

I admire Tiger, especially for the obstacles he's overcome. It appears he may still have a few.

I like Tiger, but for the life of me, why do men with the most beautiful wives in the world end up banging skanky cocktail waitresses from Vegas?

I wish him a speedy recovery, but his game ended with that nine iron swung by his ex wife.

He’ll be alright, long recovery, but I’d say his golf career is over, which is unfortunate, but when you got ranked the first or second best ever it’s not too shabby.

It always amazes me people of his status don’t have drivers or employ a driving service full time

It doesn't matter how pretty they are. When the sex to talking ratio reaches a certain point, waitresses look more attractive! Golfers are always looking to find the hole!

Sure, for us. And Tiger imbibed in more than a touch. If I was married to a supermodel, I'd have no problem keeping it in my pants.

He was conscious and talking to the EMT's and police at the scene. One of Tigers biggest hero's was Ben Hogan, Hogan also injured in a horrible car accident and came back to play some of his best golf.

Lol. Good catch. Christie Brinkley is in my age group. She did a bikini photo shoot at 65. Last year, I believe. I'll post a pic when I get home. Simply amazing.

His stats seem to support that he never really recovered from that night.

Estimates put his net worth at close to a billion dollars, why he doesn't have staff including one or more chauffeurs is now certainly beyond question.

Hire a freaking chauffer Tiger, before you kill yourself behind the wheel of a damned car.

That seemed amazingly low to me, although a few quick googles show essentially the same...

Clothing, Clubs, Cars, Gatorade, Razors...... the guy has his name on tons of things....

I agree though... I'm sure Tiger 'Phase 2' wants to appear as a "regular guy", but he's proven not to be his best behind the wheel....

I understand your position but I can understand why a celebrity may not want to hire a chauffer. It clearly didn't help Princess Diana and there have been more than one huge payout to some 3rd party selling a celebrity's private lives to tabloids. That may not be his reason for not hiring a driver but I would certainly understand if it was. Nobody wants to live under a microscope.

That Diana accident was a bit of a sketchy circumstance as far as I'm concerned. And although I see your point, Tiger has enough money to enforce a pretty ironclad NDA confidentiality agreement should he choose to do so. I hope not see him die from a third serious accident behind the wheel is my main concern.

Well, he certainly wouldn't have to use a driver if he wanted to explore the World of Tiger Wong at night, but for driving at 7AM to some golf related event (I'm guessing) and other generic uses of a driver wouldn't be much of a tabloid event..

Tiger's been under a microscope since the age of 16 (at least).... Using or not using a driver wouldn't change that...

A buddy of mine was into driving. Motorcycles and cars and he liked to drive fast. Well, who doesn't like to drive fast from time to time? I'd wager more do than don't. John considered himself a great driver. He offered this opinion of his skills moments after having admitted, somewhat proudly, that he'd totaled three cars to date. I told him, John, I understand your interest in driving fast, but, if you've totaled three cars then doesn't that mean that you're not that good a driver? John paused possibly a full second before he was able to formulate the truth of his skills in his own mind and give a poorly considered response in reply. Something along the lines of how those accidents improved his skills. I lost touch with John from the time of that conversation around 1989 or 90 until 2017 when I reconnected with him on FB. We had an interesting chat on messenger, why that instead of a voice call currently escapes my understanding, and unfortunately forever will. As fate would have it, John died about one week after this chat in a motorcycle accident. Cars, trucks and motorcycles and ladders are wicked dangerous. I want a Harley CVO badly, but it is never going to happen....

RIP Johnny, Kick a Hole in the Sky Brah,,,,

I'm not a golfer, got no dog in this fight, no horse in this race.

I read that actress Ashley Judd had a terrible fall and multiple leg fractures in wilderness. Endured a 55 hour evacuation to get to a civilized place with a hospital capable of fixing her up. Be a long road back by all accounts.

Then there's a video released of actress Brooke Shields on crutches. She broke her femur, has not said how. She was in a hospital gown taking an exercise walk with a physical therapist, so she kept it quiet a while.

Now, Tiger Woods, major leg breaks apparently, will have a long road to recovery.

Okay, that's three celebrities with broken locomotion in a short time span. Surely doesn't sound like any of them did anything to deserve it, all good people, just lousy luck.

Hope they all do well. Maybe they should form a "Busted Leg Recovery Group".

I sincerely wish them all well.

I really have no issue with people that want to put their own lives in jeopardy. I absolutely have a problem with people that don't consider the possibility they are putting other people's lives in jeopardy with their reckless behavior. It may have been a true accident but it's two times too many and he needs to figure out another plan for getting from Point A to Point B.
