As of today, with just under or over 900,000 cases, UK, Mexico and Peru have been added to the tracking (see: part 2)

You can then interpret the tables and screenshots for yourselves as you wish.

So in a SINGLE day the USA has exceeded the TOTAL for China (85,915) during the ENTIRE Pandemic?

FFS when is this INSANITY going to END?

Remember that it is NOT only the number of DEATHS that matter. This VIRUS does DEBILITATING long term harm to 20% of those infected which includes those that are asymptomatic.

 

Yes, this is correct. For the first time ever, the USA recorded more than +90,000 C19 infections in one single day. Sometimes, Thursdays are the peak day in the week, both worldwide and in the USA, but sometimes it's Fridays. So, wait and see what happens today. Either way the average in the USA is currently: +78,731 cases per day, tendency: rising.

I have to admit, it took my breath away when I saw this number.

Also, the world came in far closer to +600,000 fresh C19 infections than to +500,000. If we don't get this under grips, we really could be looking at advancing 1 million cases PER DAY in the dead of winter.

 

So, COVID-19 is coming closer and closer to my doorstep. Three clients of mine, with whom I work weekly, have contracted the virus, but thanks to my shield-system where I hold appointments, I am not in danger - yet.

Out of the circle of people I work with weekly (about 200), 35 have now reported that someone in their family has contracted COVID-19.

Germany is going on LOCKDOWN-LIGHT as of Monday. Bars, restaurants, gyms, theaters and the like will close. My business is only partially affected, but I am going out right now to buy some winter clothing for myself (haven't done that in years, it's time) before everything is shut-down on Monday. 3 of my clients, who work in the medical field, are transferring out to Trier, a city very close to the Belgian border, because Belgium is doing so badly, their C19 ICU patients are being care-flighted into Germany. It is now city ordinance in Bonn that you must have a mask on your face all the time when you are outdoors, even if you are on an out-of-the-way street, just walking your dogs, for instance. I was one of those dorks who has been wearing a mask virtually all the time outdoors for months now, so I don't need to get acclimated to anything new, here. You can see the looks of real and genuine concern on peoples' faces as they are starting to realize that **** is getting real, and fast at that. Two things I have learned about my German friends: never underestimate neither their seriousness nor their generosity.

At the weekend, I will be devoting considerable time to the election statistics, but will not forget this thread. I promised to report every day that I can, and I will do exactly that.

So, Friday was not a good day for our world. It truly was Black Friday. But the evidence that C19 is spreading far faster over most all of the world can perhaps be best illustrated by looking again at posting #12687 and check out the 53 nations that came in over +1,000 fresh C19 infections. Here again that table:




I'll let you count up for yourself to sort these nations by continent.

For me, actually, the most depressing data-point is that even little Denmark, which literally sunk it's economy in a deep freeze for 5 months and shut everything down more than any other nation in Europe, is also over +1,000 new C19 cases.

And of course, the USA sailing over +100,000 new cases is truly horrifying, simply when you consider how much of a strain this is going to be on the health care system in the USA.

And worse yet: Winter has not even started yet.

I gotta admit, these figures depress me. Alot. I had been hoping against hope that this would not happen. When the USA started moving downward under +20,000 cases per day end of May, I was rejoicing. I rejoiced too early, it appears.

The UK is going into a second national lockdown for the entire month of November.

 

Also, the UK went over 1,000,000 total confirmed C19 cases today, is the 9th nation to cross this threshold.

 

What I do not understand about the Gaststaetten Verband, the National Restaurant Organization in Germany, that they completely missed the chance given, to develop a practical program, how to keep the virus load in the air as low as possible.
Everybody knew the second wave is coming. Everybody by now should know that the virus is spread through the air. The smear factor infection is rather low.
If they had a science directed program, they could have prevented a lock down, for those Restaurant which implemented it.
They are a very powerful lobbying organization.
The same for the Union.
They have done nothing

I am very surprised, disappointed.

I have been digging through the internet in 4 languages, to learn as much as a idiot as I can, since this crap started, because I have a business.
There is tons of material out there, science folks writing about the problem of virus load in a closed room and what one can do to reduce it and for example how to start every morning with Zero.
I did not come up with the plexi glass over the counter. I read about in German News Paper, I did not come up with the UV-C light, read about in a French paper. Read about the German schools having to vent by opening windows every 30 minutes or so and a virologist comented on it, not enough air exchange. A air-purifier, with features blablabla, running would do a much better trick, even mentioned how great they would be for restaurants, 4 weeks ago.
I am a business guy, its in my blood, you constantly think about the next step. If you can not live your business, than you should not do it.
I am shocked, we have this scifi nightmare and business people, the most creative people in the world, are stunned, hypnotiesed, overwhelmed.
Everybody got blindsided by the first wave, we just did not know what to do, never had experienced something like this, its scifi.
Second wave, was very well announced month ago.
First wave was very much snuffed out, its over. Don't worry.

I am a young fart and since my mid 20s have always been self employed, had a business, or two, or three.

To this day, I still don't believe in the Chinese intel. They brought billions of PPE for nothing? Really? Nah bro. They may never tell us, but it's just utterly illogical from a country that operates solely on the most productive move.

 

China has a population of nearly 1.5B and the population will obey what their governments says and if the government says wear a mask they will wear a mask. Billions of PPE does not last long. Masks and obeying lockdown mandates is the reason why China is almost at the non-lockdown status

After a string of temporary closings since late January, Starbucks Coffee Co has reopened 90 percent of its stores in China. Its China headquarters and Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Shanghai, Farmer Support Center in Yunnan province and regional support centers have resumed operations.

The company is expected to open about 95 percent of its China stores by the end of the second quarter, according to a note from Kevin Johnson, president and CEO, to shareholders on Thursday.

Fast food chain McDonald's has also reopened 90 percent of its more than 3,300 restaurants in the country, following its rollout of group delivery services to enterprises that have resumed work since Feb 10.

The changes in the daily averages in the USA, from 2020-09-030 through 2020-10-031:

What this means is that right now, the USA is reaping an average of a little more than 38,000 more cases per day than it was just one month ago & 123 more people are dying daily than were one month ago. +82,094 = 57 fresh C19 cases per minute. EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY.

The USA jumped just under 2 million C19 cases in the month of October, 2020.

And of course, the USA saw 24,000 C19 deaths in just one month. This is better than what hit NY and NJ in April, 2020, but it is still bad, very, very bad.

This means that we have currently lost the equivalent of more than the population of CHESAPEAKE or pretty much exactly the population of IRVING, never to get the one or the other back again.

ADJUSTED EXTRAPOLATION (started on 2020-08-001)

As of 2020-08-001, I adjusted the extrapolation upward from an estimated average +700 deaths per day (from 2020-06-001 through 2020-07-031) to an estimated average of +850 deaths per day in the USA. Here the current projected milestones:

2020-09-020: 200,000 deaths (the old extrapolation projected: 2020-10-013). 200,000 deaths were reached 5 days before, on 2020-09-015.
2020-11-003 (Election Day): 237,500 deaths
2020-11-018: 250,000 deaths (the old extrapolation projected: 2020-12-023).
2020-12-031: 286,697 deaths on New Years Eve, 2020 going into 2021.

At current:




This means that we are currently at +1,175 deaths over the extrapolation, which puts us also currently 1.4 days ahead of the next milestone-projections.

I know it may be tiring to see these statistics all the time, but I do think it's important to follow the data-path every day and to put it in print, for posterity's sake, so that the naysayers cannot say "nay" without looking totally ignorant.

STAT'S EXCEL-TABLE:​

The changes in the daily averages, from 2020-09-030 through 2020-10-031:
+cases: +294,967 to +492,743 (+197,776) / +deaths: +5,275 to +6,488 (+1,213).

What this means is that right now, the world is reaping an average of just under +200,000 more cases per day than just one month ago and just over +1,200 more people are dying daily than one month ago. +492,743 = 342.2 fresh C19 cases per minute. EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY.

Our world jumped a record-shattering +12.2 million C19 cases in the month of October, 2020.

Part of the big news for October 2020 is that the world suddenly went from 4 nations over 1,000,000 total confirmed C19 cases to 9 such nations, with 2 more waiting in the wings in November. This means that I am now tracking the daily numbers for our world and 11 nations each day, the excel tables for which you can see via my sig file.

This graphic is very telling. Two examples:

-120 days ago, at the end of June, 2020, there were 19 nations with over 100,000 total C19 cases. Now, there are 50.
-120 days ago, at the end of June, 2020, there were 9 nations with over 10,000 total C19 deaths. Now, there are 22.
And so forth and so on.

50 nations are now over the 100,000 mark. FIFTY. 9 nations are over the 1,000,0000 mark. And very soon, the USA will be the first nation to go into the 9-digit-zone and have *10,000,000* COVID-19 cases.

In terms of the countries with the most new cases:​

Well, a month has passed and now it takes TWO screenshots to catch all the nations with +1,000 or more new C19 cases. That alone says a lot.

Also, one month ago, I wrote this:

And there can now be no doubt that Europe is most definitely in the middle of the 2nd wave, and it is far, far worse than the first was. In one month, France (+804,080), Spain (+495,329) and the UK started accumulating so many cases that all three jumped over the 1,000,000 C19 case-line.

In terms of total deaths per country, descending:

The top 4:

USA, total deaths: 236,072 / 19.68% of worldwide deaths (was: 20.80% EOM September)

Brazil, total deaths: 159,902 / 13.33% of worldwide deaths (was: 14.14% EOM September). Extrapolated 200,000 death date, based on the daily average of 711 per day, from 2020-09-013 = +96 days from now: 2020-12-020.

India, total deaths: 122,149 / 10.18% of worldwide deaths (was: 9.69% EOM September). At the beginning of October, 2020, India went over the 100,000-death-mark, was the third nation to do so, after the USA and Brazil.

Mexico, total deaths: 91,289 / 7.61% of worldwide deaths (was: 7.58% EOM September). Mexico is now -8,711 away from the 100,000 death line. If it's current daily death average of +425,3 deaths per day continues, then in 21 days, Mexico will go over 100,000 deaths and be the fourth nation to do so.

Combined (609,412), the top four nations currently represent 50.80% of all total deaths in the world to-date (was: 52.21% EOM September).

In terms of the countries with the most daily deaths:

For a long time, we were used to seeing between 8-10 nations per day recording +100 or more daily deaths. Now, we are between 15-18 such nations.

5 of the top 16 nations are from the Americas. However, 8 of the top 16 are from Europe. That's a huge shift in where the daily deaths on the +100-or-more scale are happening.

In terms of Total Tests administered per country:​

65 nations have now administered more than 1 million tests apiece; of those 65, 12 nations have performed more than 10 million apiece; of those 12, 3 have performed more than 100 million apiece.


END-FACIT: on 2020-10-031 (EOM October 2020), the world landed at 46.37 million total COVID-19 cases, having jumped +12.2 million cases in those 31 days. To put this into perspective, it took the world 7 months and one week to get to the first 12.2 million total C19 cases, at EOD on 2020-07-008. What once took more than seven months to do, we just "accomplished" in just one month. Food for thought.
