The article doesn't say the proceedings were disrupted. How many lawmakers were evacuated?

Yeah it's a spelling thing. I made the spelling error and you lost your ever loving mind.

I like messing with people like you.

OK. I've known a few gay men and they all seemed to enjoy actually being men but I'm sure there are all kinds of variances across the spectrum of sexuality.

So if you just wander into the capital peacefully it's NOT an insurrection?

    Drag shows, yes.

    Sex shows, no.

Kids have been laughing at men in drag for centuries.

Drag's also pretty mainstream on TV these days too. I can't say it does anything for me but it seems pretty harmless. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I'm sure the kids will just reverse all these laws anyway as soon as they are old enough to take charge of the legal process.

Plenty of people visit the capitol. We don't call it an insurrection.

Where are the police trying to stop them from coming in? Seems like it's an open door policy. Not sure why you have an issue with them going inside the capitol when they are allowed to.

Uuhhh no, the people who acted peacefully were only charged with crimes like unlawful entry of a restricted area, which is not a serious crime. Those charged with more serious crimes (like assault and sedition) were the people who engaged in, or lead a militia in an assault which resulted in 114 injured officers, and $1.5 million in property damage to the US Capitol.

To Lil Mike's credit.. aside from the illegal entry, the damage to property, the attempted coup, and the involvement of militia groups in assaulting and injuring 114 police officers... the two events are almost exactly the same....

There is nothing wrong with a drag show as long as children aren't involved or present. Unfortunately I don't think they are having much attendance from adults.

The straight to crazy town folks just don't or aren't willing to allow even the least little bit of restrictions on their permissiveness... they feel that not being able to sexualize kids is an affront to their civil liberties, even though they trash the liberties of said kids... But they don't seem to care. As you rightly point out, no one cares about their behavior as long as it doesn't trample the rights of others. Something they seem entirely willing to force on others. Why? Relevance? Is being a drag performer not fun anymore because it isn't taboo anymore? It begs the question openly of why still do drag. It's like public acceptance of their behavior just isn't enough....

I can't explain it. I can only view it as a rot growing within our society. Gone are the days of live and let live.

Yes. If a parent wants to take their kids to some silly show, then why does the government have to get involved in it? Not everyone is buying into the "I'm from the government, and I am here to raise your children" line.

I don't think this stuff comes from government. I think it comes from wokeness in education. People not policies.

A kid shouldn't be able to make decisions like getting a tattoo or having his dick cut off before he's 18. Really simple. And they're ensuring the law reflects this. This should be a "no duh" issue.

As for those that think it OK for kids to attend drag shows (but not sex shows) drag is a sexual experience for the queens and children shouldn't be around them. Especially if dressed like "Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey" who appeared at one of these g-d danged drag queen story hours.

A larger question is, is perversion bad for a society? Month or two ago, a guy with big fake breasts whipped his dress off on live UK TV. He then walked naked over to a keyboard, grabbed his naked dick and pounded his dick on the key board, jiggling his naked fake breasts for the children to see. The camera did not cut away. Audience members clapped and laughed. Will this society survive? If so, guess we can all stop worrying so much.

These new laws re-define "child" to include anyone who is up to 26 years old.

State I would imagine unless the insurrectionist succeed under the supremacy clause and shall protect the states from rebellion and attacks.

That would be good grounds to challenge it. We let drinking laws stand at 21 even though 18 is majority. Maybe they shouldn't. Same with this issue. If you're 18 and want to cut your dick off, have at it. Maybe they are trying to make a statement about 26 year olds being allowed to stay on their parent's health insurance.

Well, Oklahoma can have their government play Mom and Dad for their citizens. Its their State after all.
