What we have here is a trespasser. And when told to get down out of the tree, that clearly he did not own, he refused. He was warned and warned "get out of that tree." So you really couldn't figure out it was a faked situation? Convenient, how the tree was dropped into the lake, and how it had no branches nearby to prevent the dude from jumping clear of it. And why would anyone want to save a scraggly tree by a golf course? With that said, it was a pretty good stunt. The guy was obviously confident in the tree-felling skills of his buddies.
