Trump and mass hysteria

There was an episode of the doctor show "House" where one passenger gets sick, and a second passenger overhears the doctors whispering that it's probably an airborne infectious disease. The rumor spreads. Very quickly a majority of the passengers start feeling and even exhibiting the same symptoms as the one sick passenger. House finally tells them that none of them are sick, that it's not an infectious disease after all, and their symptoms immediately subside. It was just mass hysteria.

I think that's part of Trump Derangement Syndrome. The media and "celebrities" like Barbra Striesand, Joy Bar and now David Letterman have been telling people the sky is falling tor 2 years, and so the masses believe it. They are making themselves sick.

Can it really take 2 years to get over a person like Hillary Clinton?

Is David Letterman's opinion more significant than Joe the Plumber's?

I have to agree with you and @Frank that it is about time that we had an HONEST discussion as to the origin and spread of the infection.

IMO the BLOTUS is PATIENT ZERO as far as this is concerned and while the MAJORITY of the nation appear to be IMMUNE to his delusional canards there is a segment that appears to have never obtained the benefit of Critical Thinking vaccines. This leaves them susceptible to his bovine excrement laden falsehoods with the unfortunate consequences that we can see all around our nation.

Hopefully this epidemic will be cured by fumigating the Oval office in 2020.

I didn't vote for Trump and don't currently plan to vote for his reelection, but it's because of his failure to propose serious reduction of the national debt, not mental illness.

If Trump had lost, you wouldn't be obsessing like this. And be honest, what bad things have really resulted from his election? War? Economic Depression? Unemployment?

The behavior of Republican's in the Senate has nothing to do with it. The House can "indict" the President. The President knows a TV show (impeachment process) on his behavior would turn the current 50/50 impeachment polls against him. Hence, the administration's current behavior. The Dem "Leadership", as usual, is cowering in mental gymnastics mode: it's substance not process stupid(s).

Yeah. There is a clear case already in the public realm but our lazy public doesn't read they watch TV.

 

I still can't believe that toxic candidates like Trump and Hillary were the best we could come up with - that's the really unbelievable part.

Oh, and in politics, David Leterrman's opinion IS more significant that Joe the Plumber's - because in politics, the person who can donate more money to the cause gets their opinions heard. Ain't right. But it is reality.

I assume you're talking to both sides on this one. Trump is going too far with his recent stonewall of Congress, but the paranoia around him, for instance, not leaving office if he loses, is nuts. My family is overrun by military and I know what would happen if a President tried to stay in office--he'd be sent packing. The BS coming from Trump about "the left" trying to steal his Presidency is whipping up unfounded fears on the right.
