I am guessing that there could be a lot of scared people in Washington right now.

The more that I hear about this Nunes guy the more that I like him. He definitely has courage.

Trump Announces Declassification of Russia Collusion, Clinton Email Probe Documents

President Donald Trump announced in a Twitter post late on Tuesday he has authorized the “total” declassification of all documents relating to the Russia collusion and Hillary Clinton email probes.

“I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!” he wrote at around 8:40 p.m. ET. He did not elaborate on the nature of the documents.

Later, he wrote that he “can’t believe these con men are not yet being PROSECUTED,” referring to former FBI officials.

Earlier this week, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said that Trump, while he was being treated for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus in the hospital, authorized him to declassify the information.

“This morning we’ve already had a couple of discussions on items that he wants to get done,” Meadows said an interview with Fox News. “Candidly, he’s already tasked me with getting declassification rolling in a follow-up to some of the requests that Devin Nunes and others have made,” he said, referring to Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee.

Meadows also didn’t disclose what documents Trump was working on declassifying.

It came as House Republicans said they would fight efforts from U.S. intelligence agencies to block the disclosure of classified information surrounding the probe into whether Russia colluded with Trump in the 2016 election.

Nunes told Fox that he would not rule out an overhaul of the entire intelligence community.

“We want every damn bit of evidence that every intelligence agency has, or it’s maybe time to shut those agencies down,” the California Republican said. “Because, at the end of the day … our liberties are more important than anything else we have in this country. And they have been stampeded over by these dirty cops.”

Nunes said that memos from Christopher Steele, who authored the controversial and discredited Steele dossier about Trump, should be published. Steele, a former UK intelligence officer, was hired by Clinton’s campaign to come up with alleged links between Russia and Trump.

Top Democrats and the former Obama administration’s CIA director, John Brennan, cried foul over the recent developments.

DNI Declassifies CIA Memo That Comey Claimed to Have No Memory of Receiving

The head of the U.S. intelligence community on Oct. 6 declassified a referral sent from the CIA to FBI Director James Comey in 2016, which Comey last week claimed to have no memory of receiving.

The three-page referral, released by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe to members of Congress in partly redacted form, apprised Comey and FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok that intelligence suggested that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had approved a plan concerning the Trump campaign and Russia’s alleged hack of the Democratic National Committee.

In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, Comey claimed not to remember ever receiving the referral.

Ratcliffe sent copies of the partly redacted, three-page referral (pdf) to the chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, alongside written notes (pdf) taken by CIA Director John Brennan.

Last week, Ratcliffe released a summary (pdf) of the contents of the documents, in which he alleged that Clinton approved the plan on July 26, 2016, and that Brennan’s handwritten notes concern a briefing he provided to President Barack Obama in late July. The information about the plan came from a Russian intelligence analysis obtained by U.S. authorities, according to Ratcliffe.

The Clinton plan was meant to distract the public’s attention from the Clinton email scandal, the CIA referral to Comey and Strzok states.

Brennan’s notes describe an “alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on 26 July of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russia security services.”

Brennan’s notes then show three bullet points from “POTUS”—an acronym for President of the United States—the only unclassified one of which states, “Any evidence of collaboration between Trump campaign + Russians.”

The notes also include a lengthier classified list of bullet points under the heading of “JC,” an apparent reference to the acronym for James Comey, suggesting that Brennan either briefed or was instructed to brief Comey.

In the summary letter last week, Ratcliffe noted that since the information came from Russian intelligence, it should be treated carefully with the potential that it’s either exaggerated or intentionally misleading. The timing and the content of the intelligence are nevertheless significant considering the context of the events that unfolded shortly before and after July 26, 2016.

On July 22, 2016, Wikileaks released thousands of emails from the Democratic National Committee. Just over a month earlier, the DNC alleged that its network had been hacked by the Russians.

On July 25, 2016, Clinton campaign senior policy adviser Jake Sullivan publicly discussed potential links between the Trump campaign and Russia and insinuated that the Republican candidate may be compromised. On the same day, the FBI confirmed that it had opened an investigation into the hacking of the DNC.

Besides 22 Wiped Devices, 44 Mueller Team iPhones Had Zero Records

Forty-four iPhones used by members of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation contained no records when they were examined by an officer assigned to the team, according to internal documents.

Five more Special Counsel’s Office (SCO) phones contained only one record each, and four others contained fewer than 10 records per device, according to a log kept by a records officer over the course of more than 20 months.

The lack of records on the phones is extraordinary given the immense scope of the probe. It is also suspicious considering that at least 22 phones belonging to members of the Mueller team were wiped, with employees offering questionable explanations for the erasures.

Under U.S. law, government records are defined as “all recorded information, regardless of form or characteristics, made or received by a federal agency under federal law or in connection with the transaction of public business and preserved or appropriate for preservation by that agency or its legitimate successor as evidence of the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the United States government or because of the informational value of data in them.”

Of the 92 unique iPhones used by the Mueller team, only 12 contained a significant number of records, an Epoch Times review of available records determined.

Grassley Presses for Answers on iPhones Wiped by Mueller Staff

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Friday requested records and answers from the heads of the Justice Department and the FBI about the wiping of data from a large number of smartphones used by members of the special counsel team run by Robert Mueller, who was investigating alleged collusion between the Trump 2016 campaign and Russia.

“It appears that Special Counsel Mueller’s team may have deleted federal records that could be key to better understanding their decision-making process as they pursued their investigation and wrote their report. Indeed, many officials apparently deleted the records after the DOJ Inspector General began his inquiry into how the Department mishandled Crossfire Hurricane,” Grassley wrote in a letter to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray in reference to the investigation opened by the FBI that was taken over by Mueller.

“Moreover, based on this new information, the number of times and the stated reasons for the deletions calls into question whether or not it was a widespread intentional effort.”

The Department of Justice released 87 pages of documents on Thursday as a result of a Freedom of Information Act request brought by Judicial Watch. The documents include a log of dozens iPhones used by members of the special counsel’s office with notes taken by an official who reviewed each device when it was turned in to determine if it contained government records.

The log shows that data was completely wiped from 22 iPhones, including at least two which were wiped twice. On 11 occasions, special counsel employees said they wiped the data on their phones by accident. On seven other occasions, employees wiped their devices claiming they input the wrong password too many times causing the phone to wipe itself.

The FBI and the DOJ did not respond to requests for comment.

Grassley is asking the DOJ to provide an unredacted version of the documents released on Thursday. He is also requesting all of the records from government phones used by Mueller’s staff and any records relating to the explanation for why each employee deleted the data from their phones. The senator is also inquiring if the matter is under investigation and whether the DOJ has attempted to forensically recover data from the phones.

The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office of Inspector General (IG) had in 2018 detailed an extensive effort to recover the text messages from the special counsel phones used by FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page. The phones had both been wiped before the IG investigators found them.

The Worgl Austria Great Depression Experiment and a real estate boom in rural America?

City in Austria Printed Local Currency

Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.
Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. Awareness is growing about the flaws in our current monetary system, and people are re-creating viable alternatives. I have absolutely no training in economics, but I do know that such schemes would be illegal under the US Constitution.

That said, the scheme worked for a period of time, and might be analogous to the idea of digital currency, something else I know nothing about. I have no interest in digital currency, but that's just me.

DrLuggit... I really thank you for introducing me to the term "Malthusian" in another discussion because once I did some searches on that school of thought what is most likely happening on this planet at this time certainly made more sense.

But in the past two years, membership has doubled to more than 700. The currency's use has expanded beyond Bellingham to Seattle, too, where 75 new members have signed on in the past six months. I live on the planet of truth and in truth in advertising. If you feel that the DNC were lax in their cyber defense, you're not alone. Perhaps, instead of being so arrogant and so likely criminally negligent, they should have been making sure that the Podesta's of the world didn't hire plants who were able to internally compromise them and the HRC folks. But sure. If you believe that less than 100K dollars worth of adds on facebook could turn an election, you're laughable. This is simple stuff here. Is there nation state cybercrime? Of course there is. And it certainly isn't limited to Russia, with China the most prolific and most invasive. And yet, you never seem to want to call them out. Why? Is it because they, or at least their corporate proxies are the most prolific donors to the DNC now? Do you suppose that the DNC are safe from China?

Perhaps I am being naive..... but it seems to me that
President Putin could potentially be a powerful ally to the USA against China and the radical Islamic movements which looks to me like a modern Fourth Reich.

Brennan Briefed Obama on Alleged Clinton Plan to Tie Trump to Russia

Then-CIA Director John Brennan briefed President Barack Obama in late 2016 about Russian intelligence which alleged a plan by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to stir up a scandal about her election opponent, Donald Trump, by tying him to the alleged hack of the Democratic National Committee by Russian intelligence services, according to a letter (pdf) by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.

After U.S. intelligence services obtained the insight into the Russian intelligence analysis in late July 2016, Brennan briefed Obama and other national security officials about the alleged Clinton plan, including the “alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016, of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal by claiming interference by Russian security services.”

On Sept. 7, 2016, U.S. intelligence officials referred the matter to then-FBI Director James Comey and then-Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, according to Ratcliffe. The referral was titled “U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s approval of a plan concerning U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private mail server.”

“The [intelligence community] does not know the accuracy of this allegation or the extent to which the Russian intelligence analysis may reflect exaggeration or fabrication,” Ratcliffe wrote.

The FBI formally opened an investigation of the Trump campaign on July 31, 2016, five days after Clinton’s alleged approval of the smear campaign against Trump. The investigation was predicated on a conversation in which Trump campaign foreign adviser George Papadopoulos spoke about Russians having “dirt” on Clinton.

Strzok opened the Crossfire Hurricane investigation and played a major role in the investigation of Clinton’s use of an unauthorized private email server to conduct government business. In text messages, he expressed an intense hatred of Trump and deference to Clinton, spoke of stopping Trump from becoming president, and mentioned an “insurance policy” in the unlikely event that Trump won the election.

While anything intercepted from foreign intelligence should be taken with a grain of salt, Brennan’s briefing to Obama indicates there were serious concerns about the information, whether true or false, at the highest levels of the Obama administration. The potential significance of the matter is further bolstered by the subsequent criminal referral to Strzok and Comey.

Clinton, who only lists a postal box as a mean of contact on her website, did not respond to a request for comment addressed to her on Twitter.

The Clinton campaign paid for an opposition research dossier in 2016 which was composed by a British ex-spy who relied on a once-suspected-Russian spy in Washington as the main source. The FBI used the dossier to obtain a warrant to spy on former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page. The bureau did not advise the court that Clinton funded the dossier, one in a battery of errors and omissions unearthed in the applications to spy on Page by a Department of Justice watchdog.

And Russia received 70 thousand cyber attacks this year. They certainly weren't attacking themselves.

This is what so many of us have been writing about from the inception. The real scandal was having Obama use Clinton's back channel comms to do all the dirty little "drug deals" he had her coordinate. Given the nature of Obama and his entirely micro managerial style, there is no doubt that Obama was read in, nor is there much doubt left that he was actively assisting in this using Comey as the front man for their collusion.

You just have to wonder what HRC had on Barry at this point. Why he would risk being associated with her active conspiracy with foreign intelligence to attack her political rival doesn't seem like Barry, but then, he is from the Chicago mob, so, who knows?

The contexts are starting to converge here. There certainly was a crime. And declassifying all of the documents out there will certainly expose these criminals for what they did. Think of it not as the October "surprise" so much as the October illumination.

Yeah, we were the first country to do that, and some pointed out, at the time, that this was going to come back and bite us where it really hurt.
