Hell he was even treated different when he was a POW. His entire military career was what it was thanks to his admiral father and grandfather.

Gosh, I remember how the left revered mcsame when he ran for president.

(Read the article titles of the pictured search. mcsame was mentally unfit, a nazi, profane, racist, bigot, homophobe.) LOL!

His 5 years in captivity and the way he handled it and his refusal of special treatment earned him his "military royalty". Stainless steel balls and total commitment to his values and oath under EXTREME physical and mental duress. Can't get any more "royal" than that kind of soldier.

He was already military royalty who had more choices and was given more leeway than just an average solider... his father was John Sidney "Jack" McCain Jr.(January 17, 1911 – March 22, 1981) was a United States Navyadmiral, who served in conflicts from the 1940s through the 1970s, including as the Commander, United States Pacific Command. His grandfather was John Sidney "Slew" McCain(August 9, 1884 – September 6, 1945) was a U.S. Navy admiral. He held several command assignments during the Pacific campaign of World War II.

true and it was the reason he was centered out for torture and then offered "early release". He didn't play their game, which is why he earned his spot in military history regardless of his heritage.

Ya my point isn’t that was wasn’t a hero but that he doesn’t deserve anymore respect than all those joe scmoes that served bravely as a matter of fact those sons of factory workers who were drafted deserve the most respect imo.

During the Vietnam war liberals called American pilots war criminals. Now the libs call these same pilots war heroes. Paradox or politics?

All that served deserve respect, Sen. McCain's is highlighted for the simple fact he was a POW. The real problem is a man that dodged and hid and didn't serve his country and then comes out attacks a man who did.

Hitler murdered 6 million people and brought the world to war. Absolutely, I would criticize Hitler and Sadaam as well, and Stalin as well. You?

Doesn't that "Commandment" also apply to Trump? How many times has he violated it? (Hint: too many to count.)

Returning fire is an acceptable response to those violations.

Lightweights, and RINO's like McCain, deserved what was directed back at them.

    1. What did McCain do last weekend that deserved any kind of response?
    2. By your logic, it is now open season on Trump for Republicans to "return fire" for Trump's attacks on McCain.

And, by the way - Trump starts most of these feuds.

As someone else on this board said:
Obama WH approach: "When they go low, we go high."
Trump WH approach: "When they go low, we go lower."

I don't recall the circumstances behind the President's comments regarding McCain.

From my observation, the President doesn't start these feuds, he responds to them. Calling out a political opponent during a campaign is not the same thing.

Well, the answer is that McCain did not do anything last weekend. So your defence that a response was in some way justified is nonsensical.

Your observation is wrong. Trump starts insulting people and calling them names if they don't do what he wants. He is usually the instigator.

I wrote I don't recall. That is no grounds to call it nonsensical.

Your opinion is biased so it lacks veracity.

Quite simply, McCain could not have done anything last weekend because he has been dead for months.

So your defence of Trump on the basis that he is counter-punching is nonsensical. Or nonsense, if you prefer.
