83% of the tax cuts went to the wealthy and corporation that leaves exactly 17% for the 99% of others to share in, commonly referred too as the crumbs.

Depends on how much they are paying in taxes.

We have a progressive tax system, the wealthy pay more than their "fair" share.

    Half pay essentially nothing.

Why wouldn't the tax cuts be progressive as well?

Could it be marxism? (redistribution and eat the rich)

Federal revenue has risen 9% since Trump's tax cuts.

How do we go from paying less to the federal government, but they still get more? I know the general argument is that salary increases and more people in the workforce makes that possible, but it still means we're paying more in taxes than before.

Payroll taxes is a major source as well.

Taxes are a disincentive, they cause people to buy less, hire less, pay less.

Lefties think thats a good thing.

    Check out the Laffer curve.

I know all about the Laffer curve. I was asked for an argument that we are somehow paying less taxes than before, and I think I did that.

In a normal congress Trump would be playing golf and campaigning 5 days a week ........... Oh that's right he is !!

When the Presidency and Congress is controlled by 1 party even Trump can get things done.

We'll see what Trump accomplished after the mid terms

I'd tell him how much ACA has robbed me for personally and how much happier I am with my NEW doctor, formerly employed as a customer care specialist judging by his thick Indian ... and no, not Pocohantas Indian, accent ... but he wouldn't care. He's that sort of self absorbed socialist?

    I like that curve.
Where do you think the sweet spot is? That would be the spot where Revenue per GDP is greatest.
That would put it at 50%.
Kind of like the good old days when we built things.

Well then, let's do everything in our power to encourage manufacturing in this country and to keep the available workforce as small as possible. When employers have to compete for workers, the workers win.

The majority aren't carrying the majority of ACA contributions. Naturally the high % that pay little, or NOTHING, love ACA.

Which is why most Republicans running for office rarely mention this tax cut or the NEXT proposed taxcut.

And those that try to quickly shoot themselves in the foot because this is basically indefensible

We are building more things now than going back to the Carter administration-and TRUMP brought those jobs home.

    America first.

Its a good idea, get used to it.

    Still think its fake?

Go Figure: Federal Revenues Hit All-Time Highs Under Trump Tax Cuts

Taxes: Critics of the Trump tax cuts said they would blow a hole in the deficit. Yet individual income taxes climbed 6% in the just-ended fiscal year 2018, as the economy grew faster and created more jobs than expected.

The Treasury Department reported this week that individual income tax collections for FY 2018 totaled $1.7 trillion. That's up $14 billion from fiscal 2017, and an all-time high. And that's despite the fact that individual income tax rates got a significant cut this year as part of President Donald Trump's tax reform plan.
