There have been 46,429 cases, 36,159 closed cases 33,345 (92%) have recovered and been closed and 2,814 have died (8%). None of those deaths occurred in the United States. According to the the World Health Organization (WHO), the flu causes up to 5 million cases of severe illness globally and kills up to 650,000 people annually and yet here we are going CRAZY over the Coronavirus!

My goodness so far in the U.S. no cases have resulted in death and have been dealt with, just another issue the left wants to use to attack Trump for political gain. Just face it, you all would attack him no matter what he did or said...

The only posters mentioning "panic" are the Trump loyalists. Their responses seem increasingly bizarre. I see no evidence of panic. Please inform me if I am missing something. Americans are interested in the progress of the virus and our plans to confront the situation. That seems reasonable and American's are willing and able to support those efforts. They need reliable information though and they don't believe they are getting it.

Trump's statements about this are a valid complaint. Trump and Kudlow were on TV just a couple days ago telling everyone this thing wasn't going to catch on here. I understand officials can't panic people, but the CDC did an excellent job of telling people what was really going on without scaring the **** out of them: this thing is going to move in here and probably be pretty disruptive. That probably did scare a lot of people, but forewarned is forearmed.

Japan shut down all their schools today. If we end up doing stuff like that, it's fair to hold the Trump admin accountable. If it peters out and doesn't really do anything here, you can dig this up and I'll give Trump an "attaboy". But that's really looking unlikely now.
