President Trump received his third 2020 Nobel Peace Prize nomination in September, this time from a group of Australian law professors.

Trump was first nominated for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize by a Norwegian Parliament member for his role in the United Arab Emirates-Israel peace deal. Days later, a Swedish Parliament member nominated Trump again after he helped secure a deal for normalized economic relations between Serbia and Kosovo.

"It's a great honor to be nominated, and I know it has tremendous significance," Trump told Fox News Radio White House correspondent Jon Decker on Sept. 10. "I just think it's a great thing for our country. It shows that we're trying to make peace, not war all the time."

Trump now has three Nobel nominations. First from a Norwegian Parliament member, then from a Swedish Parliament member, and now from a group of Australian law professors.

The winner will be announced next month.

I'm glad President Trump is not a warmongering President. I'm glad he's a president who wants to encourage peace, and can/will make deals towards that end.

    Thoughts?

He will get it for sure.

Trump is a man of peace, always measured and hardly ever in conflict with anyone.

Even if justice forced him to close his charitable foundation (because he was evading the tax authorities) Trump is a generous man.

His closeness and his admiration for the world's worst dictators should not diminish his chances of winning the Nobel Prize.

It isn't often that a President falls in love with Kim Jong Un.

Trump is a bit like Gandhi, but without intelligence, without restraint, without humility, without wisdom and without empathy for anyone but himself.

Trump should decline. If Obama and Arafat got one, its really just a Nobel Participation Trophy.

I imagine it's really going to blow conservative minds when Biden wins his for vanquishing Trump, much like Obama won his for vanquishing Bush...

The defeat of fascism certainly qualifies as promoting worldwide peace, IMHO...

Maybe the Nobel folks are trying to redeem their credibility ;) I agree though, giving it to Obama was a joke and certainly diminished the prestige of the Nobel prize.

It should blow Dems minds that its a close race with such an awful candidate like Trump. Dems should have had a landslide victory.

Little shocks me about this country any more..

Still have every reason to believe a substantial victory is possible, BTW... Certainly bigger than Trumps 3 state victory..

Perhaps losing to such a low candidate should make one think about the product they are selling. Higher taxes and infringing on gun rights gives Trump an advantage.

Its amazing how your mind works. The guy that is actually making progress towards peace in the Middle East is a fascist, but the guy that helped fund terrorists, ran out of bombs to drop on the Middle East and assassinated Americans citizens deserved the Peace Prize? Are you insane?

    JFC

He did NOT get nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. He got SUBMITTED TO THE COMMITTEE who actually does the nominations !!!! He was submitted as a "candidate". Nothing has been vetted, just submitted.

The cult is amazing to watch.

What peace in the middle east ? The latest "peace deal" was between 3 countries that already have open borders !

Peace in the Middle east is beyond a pipe dream. Obama helps sign a 'middle east peace deal", Bush 1 and Bush 2 both did the same. They sign the deals, and then everyone reneges and we start all over.

And by the way, Jareds idea of a peace deal in the Middle East was a jobs program. Literally a jobs program. You cant make this crap up with a team of writers.

He will never get it because leftists control the vetting process and yet the entire world KNOWS that he earned it and deserves one . . . in contrast to say . . . Barack Obama or Yasser Arafat.

Ironically this time around the old saying goes into effect. It's an honor simply to have been nominated . . . because THAT'S as ideologically fair and balanced as the leftist infested committee gets . . . in that gets they can't actually block nominations from credible sources. All those leftists can do, is vote them down.

I'm all for peace. Give him a shiny prize if it matters. I would think that anyone would be mindful that the diplomacy we are seeing start to bear some minor fruit wasn't STARTED by Trump by any means, but by several presidents ago and maintained by them as well. But it's not prize, so give it to him if he wants to say he and Obama got one.

I said it was progress toward peace, not that it was spectacular progress. The thing is, it puts pressure on other countries to follow suit as it will bring significant economic advantages. This at a time when the main opposition in the area (Iran) is weakened. It certainly is better than bombing them I would think.
