Almost 3 years ago, a day after Trump was elected American President, I wrote the piece below. Reading it back it sounds rather prolific, so I thought I re-post it, especially as Trump has been in full dictatorial mood this week, demanding Greenland sells itself to him and insulting Jews for ''lack of voter loyalty''. Nothing much has changed except we all still want to punch Trump in the face. Of course it now being the face of an exposed anti-Semitic. From November 2016; Yes, he has won so I thought I post a reminder about how Trump was judged, just a short while ago. In fact, just yesterday, when Donald J. Trump was ONLY a nominee for President of the United States. A bozo from Hollywoodland, a foulmouth p***y grabber. A nobody who was supposed to go nowhere but being a major loser in a presidential election. But the bozo has made it, without doing his homework. Will De Niro now have to go into hiding for threatening to punch President Trump? Will I be hunted down by Trumps secret police for calling him, on this forum, a fascist, racist, white racist supremacist, gorilla, lizard, Nazi, sexual predator, gorilla, women-molester, loon, criminal, idiot, gangster, paranoid schizophrenic and just plain nuts? How quickly we forget what Trump was judged to be before the election and what HE STILL WILL BE once in the White House; A bozo from Hollywoodland, a foulmouth p***ygrabber, (yes, also in the oval office) a nobody who was going to be fired by the American electorate trough a landslide loss. So let De Niro's words serve as a reminder about who Donald Trump really is, before we forget it tomorrow; blatantly stupid, a punk, a dog, a pig, (towards women, also in the oval office) a con, a bull**** artist who doesn't care one bit about the well-being of the people who either support or oppose him, a tax-avoider, a national embarrassment and total disaster. And, most of all, AN IDIOT who will surround himself with other idiots so he can drag the word into an abyss of idiocy. And his ''subjects'', the American voters who observed decent democratic election-rules, will suffer his betrayal and destruction of American democracy. At least, in 4 years time or earlier, when the ruins of Trump's empire and the world smolder, we can not say; 'wir haben es nicht gewusst!'
peacefully? a woman died during that "peaceful exercising" of their hate speech "blood and soil, jews will not replace us" is hate speech
Oh wait she died of a "heart attack" while poor victim James Fields was running away from scary libz pounding on his car.
Well the comment have been taken out of context, but in a way it is exactly as he says... he has been selected to do this and that is what he is doing
No, the American people chose the electoral college, and the electoral college gave Trump the win by a margin of 306 to 232. It's been that way now for the last 215 years, since 1804.
The electoral college "voted" as the EC votes fell out in the election. Basically the EC just make the results on Nkv 2016 official in Dec 2016. Or are you trying to make believe that the EC votes independently?
The electoral college that was proposed 215 years ago isn't much like the electoral college we have today (e.g., 12th amendment). Instead of a smoke-filled room of independent electors choosing the President, we have a rubber stamp of the popular vote. The only similarity is small states have outsized influence.
The left has become ridiculous. They can’t even recognize sarcasm and jokes anymore. You have lost touch with reality. This is why you will lose in 2020.
Just enough influence to stay relevant, and avoid being overrun by the disparate interests of megalopolis states like New York and California. Were it not for being a Republic, as opposed to a pure democracy, I don't think we'd have the country we have today, certainly not the 50 state Republic we have now.
Sure, things would have been different had we never had the EC, but can you understand the frustration Dems feel over winning the popular vote and losing the election? I guarantee if the shoe was on the other foot, Republicans would be singing a much different tune.
The American people voted on the electoral college? Surely you jest. Irregardless, the people voted against trump the states voted for him
