He interviewed for it, ergo HE WANTED IT.

He IS NOT the FBI Director, therefore HE DIDN'T GET IT.

See that? We call that "linear thought/logical deduction".

Not getting his old job back...which he INTERVIEWED FOR, ergo WANTED IT.

Interviewing for a job does not mean that he "wanted it". It means he was prepared to be interviewed for the job.

You said that he was denied the job. That is not a logical deduction from the facts. I will grant you that it is one possibility, but that possibility is remote and there are many others. For example:
    - after the interview, he decided he didn't want the job
    - he was never really interested in the job, but was asked to interview and thought, "I will keep an open mind"
    - he was offered another job before the decision about the FBI job was made, so he took the other offer

It would be unusual that a candidate for a position like this was told, immediately after an interview, that they were not getting the job. It is much more likely that many people would be interviewed, an internal discussion / decision would occur over the next days / weeks, then the unsuccessful candidates would all be told just before the announcement of the successful candidate was announced.

This whole thread is based on your assertion that Mueller was denied the FBI job.

You have been asked countless times to prove it. You can't.

    Thread. Fail.

So why did he take the SC spot if that is the case.

I have interviewed for several that, before I went to the interview I didn't think I would take the job if it was offered to me. But I wanted to know for sure. I was open to the possibility, but needed to be convinced. You learn a lot in a face-to-face interview. It is also quite possible to be interested in a job, then turned off during the interview. And VERY possible to interview for job A and get an offer from job B before you are told anything about job A.

You still haven't proven that Mueller was told, before he was appointed as SC, that he wouldn't be getting the job as head of the FBI.

Your only argument is, essentially, that it is one possibility and all other possibilities must be ignored.

Thread fail for you. But keep trying, champ! One of these days you might just make a coherent argument!
