According to four Trump administration officials, the president has been keeping vital public health information classified, even as the pandemic continues to grow. This information, the officials claim, has been kept secret from the public since mid-January, proving that the administration KNEW how bad things were and would be, yet continued to do nothing about the growing threat.



Yes, scarier indeed! And yes everyone he names in the video is responsible.

There are very common sense and clear protocols in the event of an outbreak of a disease which include confirming, investigating and managing the outbreak. All sources I checked out agree on the very basic responses, which should be quick and aggressive and above all they need effective community involvement and public awareness.

The Trump administration and their big BS talk about keeping the USA safe from immigrants while they lie to the public by withholding information which is truly a matter of life and death for many people. What cowards these low-lives are who placed their politics and pockets above public safety.

This information deserves and needs to be classified. It's not vital health information, because these projections(like the countless other projections out there.) Are not based on anything. It could get worse, it could get better, it could even flatline.(Actually, it will flatline at some point.)

The reason this information needs to be classified is herd mentality. That's literally the biggest problem with panics. The herd of the masses(especially with the anti-Trump faction) cannot be trusted to handle information. Think of the panic that's had by the public now, and how much more panic will be with more "daunting" information.

This pandemic and the response to it, is the weakness of our human civilization.

I found it interesting to listen today to our Mayor here in Burlington Vermont speak of social distancing and the need to temporarily depopulate some housing units in the city to mitigate the transmission of Coronavirus.

Contrast this to the Progressive and Environmentalist policy of restricting urban sprawl and forcing higher densities within cities. We're too close Mr. Mayor because you and your ilk have forced it.

My brother-in-law in Philadelphia was at a store yesterday that had a sign:

“LIMIT: ONE CASE OF WATER BOTTLES PER CUSTOMER”.

It didn’t say anything about individual bottles. He took 4 individual bottles (not a case). When he was in the checkout line, a store employee grabbed three of his bottles and ran away while screaming, “We have hoarding going on here!!!”.

At first, he was pissed off. Then he started laughing because the scene was so ridiculous.

This is a democracy. Measures we take, personally, through our governors, and legislatures, HAVE to be informed by the truth.

This threat requires individual response, including planning, since there is limited testing, no treatments, limited hospital space, and no vaccines for a significat number of months.

Those promoting the idea that this is a Democratic plot need to be stopped, as it leads to profoundly stupid behavior that can harm others.

 

They closed every school in my district just so they could hide the dead bodies - they're piled like cordwood up to the rafters!

Panic is being encouraged by bad people on the left.. this is akin to screaming fire in a crowded theater. It is not constitutionally protected free speech. These are bad people intent on doing evil. They should be arrested and tried for insighting the panic.

We've heard numbers like 400,000, we've heard "millions" and it doesn't correlate to any of the real time, actual reporting at all. That's what we call fear, panic and yes we call it stupid decisions.

These public panics and irrational statements, has actually given a real time look at why the WH keeps other things classified. Since the public cannot handle the truth, any other such truth would equally enable a response.

 

All joking aside this is killing Phoenix. The Valley adds $25 billion a year to its economy from tourists that travel here from Nov through April. For 25 weeks a year the Valley is home to the NBA, NHL, Nat’l Championships, Fiesta Bowls, Final Fours, Super Bowls, PGA events, Spring Training, NASCAR, thousands of Canadien snowbirds and thousands of golfers at nearly 300 highly ranked courses in the world. Over $1 billion a week is spent in Phoenix from outside sources for 6 months. That all came to a screeching halt this week as every event was cancelled and the Canadiens scrambling to get home before a grounding of air travel. What ever direct affect of this virus doesn’t kill people the indirect affect will.
