    I was curious why that article came up in Google search near the top. Thanks for the link. I hope he really is planning a quiet, peaceful departure. I also hope his more rabid supporters can calm whatever storm they have brewing.

    What is the intended purpose of that law? Is it simply to prevent wasteful spending? They don't want a president ordering things they don't need? Will the new planes still be 747s or will it be a newer jet?

    I agree it's a nice gesture of the incoming POTUS. I was replying to the poster that asked if the outgoing POTUS had access to AF1 on Inauguration Day.

    Unfortunately we allow one last ride home at the end of a president term. It won't be air force one however, it will just have the regular call sign.
    Now, if he is removed, which everyone is hoping for then he is on his own.

    There is no such law. Where do you get this stuff?

    My only hope is President Biden cancels the hideous livery the traitor trump 'designed' and returns AF1 to the traditional livery.

    As to the actual OP, no networks will not cover the inauguration in full, in whatever form that is....

    Unsurprising and expected. Pretty sure it was widely speculated shortly after the election he would plan to hold a rally or some other event concurrently with the inauguration. His vindictiveness is only surpassed by his need for attention.

    I've never attended a political event before, but I have strong urge to attend the inauguration, just to show Biden how much I appreciate his decorum. The speech he gave in the wake of that attack on our capital is kind of thing the nation needs from its president.

    As of Jan. 4, the Presidential Inaugural Committee recommends that Americans should stay home and celebrate virtually.

    he's wanted as an international war criminal and he's the terrorist-in-chief flying off in President Biden's plane while likely smearing his feces all over the walls as his mob did in our Capitol, maybe the USAF will be alerted of the danger and intercept. what if he throws some of his poop at them, might they have to down AF1 in self defense and for our Nation's safety?
