    Do you think he's capable of overpowering the pilot and flying the plane? I can't picture him being much of a fighter or pilot.

    Why? His DOJ just rushed through the execution of someone who was present at a homicide, was a teenager and didn't fire the gun. Taking responsibility for his part seems fair to me. Of course since a federal police officer was killed the death penalty is on the table. I wonder if Joe will make an exception?

    If I may pose a slightly off topic question...
    Why the hell are you still planning to have an inauguration attended by tens of thousands of people at a time when over 4,000 people a day are dying as a result of a global pandemic?
    People will travel from all over the country and then cram back into planes to return home.
    It's insane.
    I have no words...

    I'm sorry, I don't accept ''scaled back'' or ''urged not to attend''.
    This is a perfect time to demonstrate that gathering in crowds is not acceptable for any reason. It should be announced as not a public event, do not attend. What a great way to show that the new administration cares more about the lives of American citizens than the ego of the president.

    He encouraged a protest. The protest turned into a riot. He didn't turn it into a riot. Most protests last year devolved into riots so nobody should be surprised. Too much hatred and emotion for people to grasp a little common sense.

    I agree with you. Another poster suggested they only do a virtual inauguration and some respondents were complaining that it would show cowardice. I, for one, appreciated that Biden wore a mask, socially distanced and ensured that his rallies were not overcrowded events. I also know several people that do not wear masks or socially distance solely because the POTUS hasn't lead that example.

    I am not only concerned about the virus but Biden's and Harris' safety given the riot at the Capitol. I'd rather for them to take office than risk harm at a time when our country needs strong and stable leadership at the helm.
