Trump is ticked off, and it's easy to see why.

The latest indictment of Donald Trump over the classified documents issue is one more example of Democrat run Justice Department harassment. Trump has been singled out for what could be 110 years in prison if he is convicted on all counts and given the maximum sentences. In the meantime, Joe Biden, Mike Pence and Barack Obama, who did the same thing, have no worries.

Those who have followed my posts, know that I don’t want Trump to run again. My reasons concern his temperament, but given the persecution that he is facing from the legal system, it necessary to take his side on this one.

Dirty tricks and lies on the campaign trail are one thing. Politicians have been doing that at least since the 1820s when the Democrats accused John Quincy Adams of pimping for the Czar of Russia.

Using the justice system to eliminate your political opponents is quite another. If one party can use the Justice and Court Systems to harass and remove their political opponents, democracy is doomed in this country.

People of all political stripes should be concerned about this. Unequal justice under the law is the enemy of a free society.

Trump lawyers quit classified documents case

Two lawyers who represented Donald Trump in the months before the former president was indicted on federal charges over his handling of classified documents quit working for him Friday morning.

The attorneys, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, did not explain in detail why they had resigned, other than to say in a joint statement that “this is a logical moment” to do so given his indictment Thursday in U.S. District Court in Miami.

Trusty and Rowley also said they will no longer represent Trump in a pending federal criminal probe into his efforts to overturn his loss in the 2020 election to President Joe Biden.

Trusty had made multiple appearances on television news shows Thursday evening and Friday morning to discuss the indictment of Trump in his capacity as his lawyer.

It really is overwhelming, and that's just the indictment.

People are fooling themselves if they think the federal government makes claims in an indictment that it can't back up x 1000.

Soon we will have audio recordings of Trump saying the things the indictments quotes, so it won't depend on their ability to read. Somehow MAGA will still say he did nothing wrong.

All they need to do is keep harassing someone to keep them from running for office. It would interesting to see if the Democrats will use the DOJ will go after ALL Republicans who run for office.

Biden is only being accused by Congress. Hillary destroyed 30 thousand + emails with no consequences. The Democrats have no interest in the long term legal aspects of this situation.

Remember, you can't gaslight regular people with such fables. We know the facts, so we know with 100% certainty that the Trump cultists are making crazy stories up, to defend and excuse the criminal actions of DearLeader.

You especially won't be able to gaslight law enforcement, who are used to criminals whining that law enforecment is conspiring against them. What Trump and his followers are doing here is what every criminal does.

We also recognize the entitlement-rage being displayed here. Republicans are so used to getting away with their crimes and cheating-to-win, they've become violently unhinged because it's not happening this time. Without their free pass for criminality, how do they stay out of prison? Without their free pass for cheating, how do they win elections? They don't, hence the rage.

 

You seem to be confused about the "obstruction" charges. If Biden, Pence or any other President obstructs justice, they deserve to be tried. And talking
about "equal treatment" - if Trump was not an ex-president, he would probably already be in jail for life.

 

I am not gas lighting anybody. Hillary and Biden are guilty of the same offenses as Trump. They had documents in their possession. Hillary destroyed tens of thousands of them. Biden had documents in several locations. Biden and Hillary Clinton are Democrats. The Democrats control the DOJ and the FBI so they have nothing to worry about.

You can hang Trump out to dry if all things were equal, but they aren’t. I want Trump out of the picture, but the issue goes well beyond Trump. It has to do with equal application of the law, and the preservation of democracy and the two, or more, party system.
