Trump is trying to whip up fear about the browning of America

Bush. This slogan reminded Clinton that the best way to win that election was to talk about the economy, since that issue moved voters. And it worked.

Flash forward to the 2018 midterm election and Donald Trump's guiding principle can be best summed up as, "It's the racism, stupid." Trump is playing on his supporters' worst fears of brown immigrants to scare them to the polls. And to be clear, talking about immigration policy isn't inherently racist, but fabricating lies to gin up fears of Latino immigrants is -- and that's exactly what Trump is doing.

There is no possible way to paint Trump's economy in a bad light, so they've doubled down on "racism!!!"

I haven't heard Trump once say he didn't like Brown people. I have heard him say that there are bad people coming up through our Southern border and that is very true. Now he didn't say they were all bad, never hinted they were all bad. He did say a country has to have control of their borders, or they aren't a country. The European Union has an open border policy and have you seen what happened with that? Do you know one of the main reason's Britain voted to get out of the union is what is happening to their country. Europe is a total wreck that will never be the same again and it seems like the Liberals want to do the same thing to our country with your open borders. It's not the color of one's skin, it's the idea we are being invaded through our Southern border and most of the people living South of that border just happens to have Brown skin. But we know the Left always uses race to try and win people over.

I'm sure you have, I know some Democrats that don't like Blacks, Hispanics and gays. But the color of one's skin is not the main reason most of us is against millions of people invading our country. We want to control the number of people coming in. We don't want millions coming in taking our jobs holding down our wages, bringing drugs into our country or having the Democrats using them to take back power and keep it for decades. It's no secret on why the Democrats want them in here, no matter what you say. Your not the goody two shoes you want to pretend to be.

The racial division was deep in this country long before Obama came along. It seems our current POTUS is doing all he can do to take race relations back to pre-Civil Rights days.

 

I'm sorry, that Great Recession wasn't all Bush's fault. The main cause was because of the housing fiasco, which Democrats were up to their neck helping to bring that about. What booming economy? Over 90% of all jobs created under Obama's policies were service type and part time jobs. Many that never paid a living wage, much less support a family. No, racism wasn't quite as bad as it is now and started when Obama started prejudging White/police on Black crime/deaths. That prejudging, especially police killings of Blacks, all but started Black Lives Matter and the killings of police officers.

 

Liberals are so obsessed with their mindless do-gooding they can't comprehend that their simplistic reasoning will undoubtedly result in migrants ending up being so ruthlessly exploited that their lives will be worse than in their countries of origin was. In other words, liberals are advocating a return to slavery? It's so perverse that it must be genetic rather than cerebral.

Obama set race relations back 50 years. He encouraged racial division and reveled in identity politics. You don't even have to be a "right winger" to recognize that. I was an Obama voter who became a harsh critic in part because of his divisiveness. I don't see what that has to do with this thread though? Unless you are highlighting how the left likes to play the race card when the chips are down, in which case I would agree with you.
