At minimum he indicated he would make permanent cuts to the funding mechanism and his words could have been taken as terminating the funding mechanism because he no spek good.

yes he wants these permanent so employers and employees don’t have to pay them back after the holiday! congress has to do that and shouldn’t have a problem since dems supported it in the past

That isn’t what permanent tax cuts mean “if he is elected”.

When someone says they will make payroll tax cuts permanent you take them to mean it as temporary?

    Fascinating

that’s required to read your bias source...but one only has to listen to his speech to understand he wants to make this holiday permanent

Ignoring that he cannot legally do this — making the cuts permanent does not mean waiving deferred the deferred taxes.

If someone says “I am going to permanently cut your pay” do you believe that means it is temporary?

he can’t legally make them permanent...nobody suggested that. he’ll need congress..and the dems have supported it before so if they stop playing politics with the virus...they should it it again

My first sentence was that the source was biased but that the quote was real.

Again, if he would have said “we are going to try and make this deferment of these payroll taxes where they do not have to be repaid with the help of congress” you would have a point.
    But he didn’t.
He said permanent payroll tax cut

Yes, your mental gymnastics has been regurgitated over and over. It still ignores the direct quote from the president*.

He did not. Rather he has via Executive Order just cut the rev/enue stream funding SS.

Lately Presidents are like Kings with the Executive Orders. This how Republics die.

    No he wasn't.

“If victorious on November 3rd, I plan to forgive these taxes and make permanent cuts to the payroll tax,”

That interpretation is trying to cover up a huge ****ing deal. He does want to define SS. He has made his intentions crystal clear.

I am going to give you credit for being correct that the payroll tax goes to the General Fund and then to the SS Trust Fund. I find it hard to believe that the money spent on Benefits (not operations) is actually appropriated. If you have proof of this please post it thereby saving me from finding and reading an SS budget request. If what you are saying is true Social Security is even more of a scam than I thought it to be. These special security IOUs are a BS con job on the taxpayer.
