Unless you want the same standard to apply to you and everyone else, you shouldn't want it to apply to the President either. He's a citizen of the country like everyone else, and he deserves the same privacy and protections of every other citizen.

Conflicts of interest by the President are not irrelevant.

    Yes, they do.

You do not know the identity of the whistleblower and the alleged interference is into his currently existing audit.

Oh well. **I** believe a vote should be held by Congress before spending lots of time and taxpayer dollars on an impeachment inquiry, especially one guaranteed to be defeated when/if it reaches the Senate. I understand it may not be mandatory by law, but I prefer to be able to hold all Congress critters accountable according to their recorded votes.

The Congress has demanded the release of Trump's tax returns as has been provided by Congress request.

There there plenty of reasons anybody's tax returns by authorities. But the law has provided for the President, as Trump and the Republicans are well aware.

    They are simply lying.

Yet it seems you don't want Trump to be held accountable.

I'm satisfied so far that he's done what was important to me and why I voted for him -- gotten good Justices confirmed to the Supreme Court, improved the economy, and is working to stop illegal immigration. I will hold him accountable the same way I would hold my reps and senators accountable -- through my vote. It's much easier to hold Trump accountable for his performance -- his actions are on record. Congress, not so much.....they need to get busy and start voting.

Well the econmoy is good, slowing down at the moment, deficits are through the roof though.
Ok for the SC, that's your opinion.
    FYI, illegal immigration has increased.

That said, his foreign policy is akin to a Manchurian candidate, especially our historical not so friendly nations. In this case, it is his worst moment, which is saying something.

Economy has been definitely been much better, deficits not so much but Congress can cut spending any time they like if they care about the deficit. More money in my pocket so I'm good. Not entirely happy with foreign policy, but it's overall better than his predecessor's IMO. Illegal immigration has increased due to outside forces sending more people to our southern border. Trump is doing everything he can to stop it....his predecessor would have opened the floodgates wider. I certainly don't approve of the Democratic immigration stances or policies. Like I said, I've been pleased with the results for my top three reasons for my 2016 vote. Not expecting to love everything about a President's policies, or everything he/she does or says.

    Trump's foreign policy is a disaster !!!!!

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/11/politics/turkey-artillery-fire-us-syria/index.html
The Pentagon confirmed Friday that US troops in Syria "came under artillery fire from Turkish positions" and demanded that Turkey halt all operations that could require the US to take "immediate defensive action."

If you had read beyond the headline, you'd know that such a release requires a "legitimate legislative purpose". A hyper-partisan witch hunt is NOT a "legitimate legislative purpose", it's an abuse of power.

If you'd read the court ruling, you would see that the appeals court already has found that Congress does possess a legitimate legislative purpose.

Abuse of power is not its purpose.

Obama's work to cut illegal immigration was powerful and was more effective than Trump's poor efforts.

Maybe Trump and his family could start by the illegals he hires for his very own businesses? No, I thought not. That would cost his OWN money, and the Trumpies would never do that!
