Then let's get the facts, shall we? How about a full-throated, thorough investigation by the FBI instead of the sham of a 3 day FBI investigation. That investigation that was intentionally squashed by Trump, the DOJ and Republicans.

Absent such a fact-finding process, I feel that calls for Kananaugh's impeachment are premature.

Nor should he have such a challenge to his character left to hang over his head in perpetuity if it is false.

No. If you recall, the hearings were put on 'hold' in order for the FBI to do an investigation of allegations. Three days later, they finished and stated they were not given authorization to question all witnesses, the White House set the parameters for the FBI.

The bureau had not been permitted to investigate the claims of Julie Swetnick, who has accused Kavanaugh of engaging in sexual misconduct at parties while he was a student at Georgetown Preparatory School in the 1980. Deborah Ramirez spoke with the FBI and she provided investigators with a list of witnesses she says corroborate her claim. They never interviewed those witnesses.

 

The Senate judiciary committee did in fact conduct a thorough investigation of all allegations and witnesses. They found no merit and this was after the confirmation.

Swetnick was discredited from day one and even the mainstream left wing media refused to believe her.

There were twenty-five (25) corroborating witnesses to Demorah Ramirez's allegations. The FBI never interviewed or contacted even one of those 25 witnesses.

 

The Senate Judiciary committee did a thorough investigation into all allegations with all known witnesses and found none of the allegations to be valid or with any merit.

Screw the Senate Judiciary Committee, they were all a bunch of Trump toadies doing his bidding from the get-go. What about the fact that the same committee agree to an FBI investigation of witnesses but failed to do a thorough investigation because they WERE NOT ALLOWED TO.

The FBI DID NOT INVESTIGATE the allegations against Kavanaugh,they questioned only 5 of the over 50 witnesses against him.It was a very quick and non investigatory investigation.This is for a LIFETIME position on our nations highest court where any candidate should have impeccable credentials.A RUSH TO FILL JUDGEMENT!!!!

FBI is a law enforcement agency.
They probably didn’t investigate because their mind set is that you need to prove something beyond the reasonable doubt. Obviously, such allegations could never possibly survive real court trial, therefore FBI didn’t want to waste its time on such garbage.

 

They investigated the witnesses she claimed were there and the other accuser. He had been through several other FBI confirmation investigations and nothing had ever been found. They do not investigate hearsay or rumors and anyone with direct knowledge and willing to speak under penalty of law did not have to wait for the FBI to come knocking. The Senate Democrats staff could have interviewed them.

Now where is this list of 50 people who had direct knowledge of any crime or sexual assault he committed?
