No truer words, and when going further that doesn't say a lot for his ability to pick associations with others very wisely.
so is Trump upset that he can't claim the book is fake and that he did not say that? cause well.... tapes
Reading the suit now…it would appear that Mister Trump is alleging that Woodward (and co-defendants) Simon & Schuster Inc. made a lot of money off of Trump and the 45th President wants “his cut”. “WHEREFORE, the Plaintiff, President [sic] DONALD J. TRUMP, respectfully requests that this Court enter an order declaring that the actions of the Defendants, SIMON & SCHUSTER, INC., ROBERT WOODWARD, and PARAMOUNT GLOBAL entitle President Trump to an accounting of all income and profits derived from the Interview Sound Recordings, Audiobook, and Derivative Works, for compensatory damages, prejudgment interest, post-judgment interest, attorney’s fees, costs of the action, and such other relief as the Court deems appropriate” I wonder if the court will sanction the lawyer who filed this?
"Trump concedes that he consented to Woodward recording their conversations for the purpose of a book, and gave 19 interviews to the veteran journalist in 2019 and 2020, which Woodward included in his 2020 book “Rage.”" an audiobook as a public figure while President, don't think he has a case
Any Trump loving red wanna bet me this never makes it anywhere and the Judge will throw this horseshit right out of Court?
I hope this becomes a long, drawn out litigation and the jury awards the Orange Stain one dollar and no court costs.
Here’s some 8th-dimensional chess, right here. Mister Trump has largely “made-a-living” by famously losing in court, just like “Hamilton Burger” (Perry Mason, no, the series before “Ironside”). We need better writers. [edited spelllings]
Lol…nobody needs to manipulate trump’s lies. The best approach is to just let him spew his brainfarts uncensored. Why do you think that he refuses to testify under oath? He can’t string five words together without four of them being lies.
Do you just make **** up or do you have a source saying Trump and Woodward negotiated for an audiobook?
an audio book is a book did you miss my quote in the same post "Trump concedes that he consented to Woodward recording their conversations for the purpose of a book"
Not according to the standard definition it isn't. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/book Very few books are audio. It's becoming more popular, for sure, but what we're speaking of is the expectation of Trump. Did he agree to and expect the interview to be published in audio form? The answer is clearly -- NO. Woodward will have to produce an agreement, to avoid the lawsuit.
This is what Trump contended back in 2022 while being interviewed by Fox News. Looks to me like Trump has a good case to sue if what he is saying below is in fact, true: 'We'll Sue Him': Trump Claims Bob Woodward Audiobook Interview Tapes 'Belong To Me' | HuffPost Latest News
The complaint: DJT SSI BW FINAL COMPLAINT[15] (courtlistener.com) During the Interviews, President Trump repeatedly stated to Woodward, in the presence of others, that he was agreeing to be recorded for the sole purpose of Woodward being able to write a single book. 42. President Trump made Woodward aware on multiple occasions, both on and off the record, of the nature of the limited license to any recordings, therefore retaining for himself the commercialization and all other rights to the narration. At no time did President Trump ever relinquish such rights or license. 43. Notably, the Interviews reflect that Woodward was prone to exercising his own discretion in recording President Trump, despite the foregoing limitations instituted by President Trump regarding recording. For instance, several minutes into Interview 8, Woodward says “I’m going to turn on my recorder,” failing to tell President Trump that the recording had already begun. Page 13 of the complaint
I do not think a President can sue a reporter from reporting conversations he voluntarily had with the reporter as the President
