    Europe is screaming bloody murder about us putting tarrifs on them so Trump has called their bluff, no tarriffs at all with US European trade. Now we shall see how Europe responds. Probably something along the lines, but we like our tarrifs on your goods we just don't like you doing the same to us.

    "President Donald Trump says he'll propose to European officials on Wednesday that both sides drop all tariffs, barriers and subsidies".

    I would love to see it but won't hold my breath. Many EU companies only survive and compete because of subsidies. Hell Airbus was subsidized for years and still lost to Boeing.

    details, details, devil is in the details, without it, its nothing. what concession, are they gonna buy all the soybean or only 1%. the thing about trump is he lack the plan and detail on these things. hes basically bluffing through and call it a win. kind like NK deal.

    We suggested to do this.

    American cars dont sell here, because they dont offer what germans want. If we drop tariffs to zero, you still dont sell a car more here than now. But we will sell more on your market.

    So what then? Both countries drop tariffs to zero. German car sales rise in USA but american car sales in Germany stay very low.

    What then?

    What don't you understand about this? You drop all your tarriffs we drop all ours. Let the buyers decide in both countries what products they prefer at what price point. Free trade inspires better quality and lower prices on both sides, it's the beauty of competition.

    Thats already decided since years. Germans dont buy american cars. Your cars have same tariffs as japs and koreans and their cars sell well here. Americans not. That problem wont be solved by tariffs. So we win regarding that.

    We dont need your crappy cars, what we need are soy beans for cheap price to feed our cattle. Thats what we are interested in.

    All 3 domestic auto makers reporting diminishing sales due to the tariffs increasing production costs.Shrinking sales will lead to reduced work force.

    yea so does winning lottery, good dream, but still dream, not reality. many US industry such as farm/steel require subside/tariff to float, without it, they will go under quick. but hey lets wait a year, and see how much THIS become true.
