The national anthem has NOTHING to do with local or state police whatsoever. It celebrates the first American troops in the war for independence from a dictator facing seemingly impossible odds, refusing to give up, with the final version also celebrating the military defeat of the Confederacy and end of slavery. The national anthem is 100% about American troops and 0% about local and state police.

I don't have a problem with black athletes kneeling during or before the anthem is played. I think we should be mindful of police brutality. I happen to like and appreciate most cops (and firemen) but there is no place for police brutality in America.
