It is about damn time we put an end to the policies of geography denial that previous Presidents have allowed either though their bigotry, ineptness, and/or fear.

Bolster the defenses, the Muslims will be out for blood over this ...in true "religion of peace" fashion.

    HUGE news.

INCREDIBLY bad idea on Trump's part.

Strike 2 against him in ME relations as far as I'm concerned. :(

This is the first step to ensuring peace over there.

Let's hope other nations follow Trump the leader.

    Doubt it.

Nations like Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, Finland, Denmark, and Canada regard the irrefutable Israeli claim to Jerusalem as some sort of a war crime.

They wouldn't dare recognize Jerusalem as the capital or move their embassies.

Most of those nations have strong internal opinions that Jerusalem somehow belongs to the fictitious "nation of Palestine" and that the Israelis must be ejected.

I guess its no coincidence these nations have also cucked themselves into Islamic oblivion.

    Oh well.

Apparently the 70 year "status quo" just did not sit well with Trump and his responsibility as the president of the U.S.
And all this knowing the totally unstable crazed Islamic Imams, clerics, terrorist leaders are going to use this as another excuse to go on a murder of innocents rampage as much as they want at their own discretion. Because they have been "blasphemed" or however the heck they are going phrase this latest "sacrilege" Allah will command them to take vengeance.

But you evil forces have never tolerated anything by anybody that does not bow down before your warped ideology and ideas about God. Sorry. Someone on this planet has to take the courage to stop this ever growing demonic menace. So the world will now blame Trump for everything that happens violently going forward --- because the world takes no responsibility themselves, so much easier to sit back, do nothing, and spit on those with courage willing to do the right thing.

    Peace?? LOL.

Stealing people's land and then arbitrarily created a nation have never been about "peace." It's about placating a segment of the population due to the atrocities they have suffered. That is all.

This only makes sense if you're abandoning a 2 state solution. And a one state solution either means apartheid, the eventual end of a Jewish state, or massive ejection of Muslims that will be the worst migrant/refugee disaster in history perhaps.

I don't know about the worst refugee crisis in history, but this is a calamitous move by Trump.

    WW3 may be inevitable.

Allowing Jerusalem to remain on the table is the only barrier to peace. One thing I have always and still give Clinton credit for was the middle east peace conference. He got Israel to give the palestinians EVERYTHING they wanted, except EXCLUSIVE ownership of Jerusalem (read no Jews or Christian free access) so they walked. Take it off the table, and you can have a negotiation for peace. We have been doing this since before most of us were alive, and it ain't workin. This changes the field. Muslims will go ape **** that their imaginary refugee state cannot own it, and it will bring turmoil... but it is the only path that can eventually lead to peace.

Wait, I herd Trump postponed the moving of the US embassy, like all previous presidents since 1995. Is it true?

Sounds like they're just now starting the process of picking the location.

Since it will become US soil its not like they can buy anything on the market, ya know?

It will take close careful planning to establish a location that will both service the function of relations with Israel and be a stronghold that can defend against Islamic terrorism.

    Basically, it wont happen overnight.

For the Jews its about the only place in the world they can call home.

For the Muslims its about murderous religion fanaticism, a theme that hasn't changed for them since day 1 of human history.

Since the Muslims have massive lands throughout the entirety of north Africa (and Europe) to call home, and since they have shown no interest in tempering their barbaric religion with modern morality, they should not be rewarded with this land.

If Jerusalem and the entirety of Israel is taken off the table then they would have an opportunity to man up, accept their fate, and show the world they have the capacity to live in a civilized world ...elsewhere.

I loved what Trump said during the campaign when he said he wasnt a fan of the 2 state solution and instead in favor of wjatever solution Palestine and Isreal can agree to. I wish he would have kept with that mentality instead of poking a hornets nest. This puts a lot of American diplomats, state dept employees, and Marines in unnecessary danger.

Trump should push to relocate "Palestinians" to Sinai.

    No.

    To all of the above.

Palestine was denied a number of INCREDIBLY important bargaining points, and most of the rest of the comments above are imaginary and/or pure Islamophobia.

    Total fail.

Yeah - I had hopes for Trump when he directly challenged Netanyahu on the settlements.

But that was a sham; he's going to make things much worse.

Sinai can't support a much larger population. Do you know anything about it?

That type of position, wishing for war and millions of fellow human beings dead, takes a real callousness.

Both Muslims and Jews have extensive and valid historical claims to that location.
