Chrissy & John must be roaring that her tweet came back to bite Trump in his big fat ass.

'Twitter Kept Entire 'Database' of Republican Requests to Censor Posts'

    Source: Rolling Stone

Elon Musk's "Twitter Files" focus on Democrats, but former administration officials and Twitter employees say Trump’s team and other Republicans routinely demanded posts be taken down

When the White House called up Twitter in the early morning hours of September 9, 2019, officials had what they believed was a serious issue to report: Famous model Chrissy Teigen had just called President Donald Trump “a ***** ass bitch” on Twitter — and the White House wanted the tweet to come down.

That exchange — revealed during Wednesday’s House Oversight Committee hearing on Twitter by Rep. Gerry Connolly — and others like it are nowhere to be found in Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” releases, which have focused almost exclusively on requests from Democrats and the feds to the social media company. The newly empowered Republican majority in the House of Representatives is now devoting significant resources and time to investigating this supposed “collusion” between liberal politicians and Twitter. Some Republicans even believe the release of the “Twitter Files” is the “tip of the spear” of their crusade against the alleged liberal bias of Big Tech.

But former Trump administration officials and Twitter employees tell Rolling Stone that the White House’s Teigen tweet demand was hardly an isolated incident: The Trump administration and its allied Republicans in Congress routinely asked Twitter to take down posts they objected to — the exact behavior that they’re claiming makes President Biden, the Democrats, and Twitter complicit in an anti-free speech conspiracy to muzzle conservatives online.

“It was strange to me when all of these investigations were announced because it was all about the exact same stuff that we had done [when Donald Trump was in office],” one former top aide to a senior Trump administration official tells Rolling Stone. “It was normal.”

I can’t figure out how Teigen can be a model. Does anyone really think she’s good looking?

So now that the revelation has come out that the Trump administration routinely sent censorship requests to Twitter, is the House going to subpoena Twitter for the files or are we only focusing on democrats?

The entire MAGA narrative about Twitter, destroyed by a single tweet from Chrissy Teigen.

Hard to believe this is an isolated incident. I believe it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Well, the Trump campaign did ask for tweets to be removed.

I am.still.in shock that Trump's ego is so fragile that his White House asked for vulgar, though accurate, tweets about him be removed.

Nonsense. First because Tiegen wasnt censored, and an individual in government making a request because of a crude or vulgar statement isnt the same thing as sending, 2nd, the FBI or CIA or CDC in essentially a disinformation campaign.

Sure. Especially since they give top billing to Trump requesting a vulgar name calling be deleted. We can compare that to what the FBI, CIA, CDC and others requested be removed, that was actually removed.

What, I’m not entitled to an opinion? I don’t think she’s pretty, not even close. My perfect woman would have the body of Anna Nichole Smith with the face of Barbi Benton. I don’t think the bodies of the Victoria Secrets models are that great, they’re a little too thin for me. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t kick them out of bed for eating crackers, but they’re not my vision of perfect bodies. And Teigen is just ugly.

We don't know that. Let's subpoena Twitter before they destroy files.

It came from the highest office in government. Can't compare it to some person in government making a request.

I'm wondering if they threatened Twitter with repealing 230 to give into their demands. Hopefully this gets investigated, but I won't get my hopes up.

Have em all, do ya?? Did musk release this tidbit about the PAB tweet?

Serious question... I didn't follow that pablum the first time, but serious journalists did, and I didn't hear that story about attempted censorship from the WH..

Who said the GOP can't hold informative hearings? Oh right, that was me, having crow for breakfast...

So, yesterday is the first time we've had confirmation that the previous administration lobbied to have a tweet removed?

The pseudo-con cabal routinely forget Biden was not in the WH when all this alleged government Twittering took place. They were in charge.

The burying of the Hunter laptop was during the Trump Admin, but most of the censoring has come in the last 2 years under the Biden Administration
